Conference tournaments arrive

Area high school wrestling and boys swimming teams
will transition into the postseason on Saturday, with con-
ference tournaments taking place in both sports across
all area conferences.
Details on the upcoming events:
Wrestling—Dual-meet champion Janesville Parker and
Janesville Craig will visit Verona at 10 a.m. Saturday for
the Big Eight Conference individual tournament. Milton
will compete in the Badger Conference tournament, set
for 9 a.m. Saturday at Beaver Dam.
The Rock Valley Conference will hold its tournament
at 9 a.m. Saturday at Brodhead High School. The South-
ern Lakes Conference tournament is set for 9:30 a.m.
Saturday at Burlington. In the Trailways Conference, the
conference meet will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mark-
esan.
Boys swimming—The Big Eight Conference will hold
Applications for three (3) positions on the Blackhawk
Technical College District Board are now being accepted.
District Board members are not paid, except for expenses
incurred in the performance of their duties.
In the appointment process, equal consideration is
given to the general population distribution within the
District and women and minorities. In addition, employer
and employee representatives should represent the
businesses and industries within the District.

Competitive proposals are being sought by the Blackhawk Technical
College from qualified and experienced food service companies who
will be responsible for providing cafeteria, catering, and vending food
services for Blackhawk Technical College Central Campus located at
6004 Prairie Road, Janesville, WI 53547-5009.
Sealed proposals will be received by Kris Byl, Purchasing Manager,
6004 S. County Road G, P.O. Box 5009, Janesville, WI 53547, until 2:00
pm, March 2, 2022.
