Vietnamese culture is understood and presented in different concepts:

 • The first concept is the identification of Vietnamese culture with the culture of the
Vietnamese people, presenting the history of Vietnamese culture only as the history of the
civilization of the Vietnamese people.

• Second concept: Vietnamese culture is the whole culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups


living in the land of Vietnam, only the culture of each ethnic group, no national / national
culture.
 
• Third concept: Vietnamese culture is an ethnic / national cultural community, which is a
single national culture based on a variety of ethno-cultural nuances.  The concept of nation /
nation refers to a sovereign state in which most of its citizens are tied together by the

researchers and managers in the field of Vietnamese culture, therefore the content of

 1. Main features
 Vietnamese culture under the concept of a single national culture based on multi-ethnic
cultural nuances is expressed in three main characteristics:
