Dear Steve,
How’s life in Yogyakarta? I haven’t heard from you since I came here two months ago, that’s
why I’m sending this to you.
Living in Japan was quite overwhelming at the very beginning, but now I feel better. I think I
get accustomed to the environment. But, two months ago there was even a time when I
couldn’t eat anything ‘cause I had no idea which food was halal. Now, it isn’t a problem, I
know how to deal with it.
When, I was having hard time, I kinda sad remembering how you would keep telling me that
I had to learn Japanese culture before coming here. I was so ignorant at that time, I didn’t
expect that it’d be such a big deal. It turned out that what you’re saying are always right.
So, you’re enjoying your final year of college, huh? Tell me if you are bored and you want to
get some fresh air. Japan is pretty amazing. You won’t be disappointed.
Tell me about your life in Yogya too. I’ll check the mailbox everyday.
