INTRODUCTION - Aayushi
Good Morning to each and everyone present here, I Aayushi Sarvaiya roll no. 339, with my
group members : Ritika Khakhra - 322, Krisha Jain - 317, Khushi Shah - 352, Khushi Todi - 349,

So now let’s begin with the Introduction to Conflict

The concept of conflict is an outcome of behaviors which is an integral part of human life. Hence
wherever there is an interaction, there is conflict.
Conflict can be considered as an expression of hostility (unfriendliness or opposition), negative
attitudes, antagonism, aggression, rivalry and missunderstanding.
The positive or negative influence of the conflict situation mostly depends on the trainer's
appropriate and neutral intervention. The conflict resolution is very important because conflict
influences the quality of collaboration and cooperation in the group.

What are strategies of conflict?

Conflict resolution is a skill that is best built through years of practice and experience, starting
out with some of the most common and effective conflict resolution strategies will give you a
strong foundation to work from for years to come.

The 6 different strategies which we are going to explain are : Organization Redesign,
collaborating, problem solving, compromising, smoothen and avoiding.

Why is it important to resolve conflicts?

When conflict is resolved effectively, it leads to many benefits, such as accomplishing goals and
strengthening relationships.
Following are some of the benefits of conflict resolution that will highlight its importance:

Garner strong relationships: Having good conflict resolution skills help employees reduce the
friction that damages their working relationships. By resolving conflicts in a more professional
and respectful manner, they are enabled to collaborate better with co-workers, building stronger
work relationships.
Reduced disruptions: Employees with poor conflict resolution skills cause tension to build in
the face of any disagreement, which then spreads to other employees who may not have been
involved originally. This results in a dropped employee morale as well as stalling of the
workflow. By training employees for conflict resolution, such disruptions can be minimized and a
better working environment can be created.

Managing conflict well can help find creative solutions to internal relationship issues, and can
help to prevent environments that breed negativity, stress, demotivation and general employee
unrest. As we know, these environments have higher absence rates, above average staff
turnover, can turn whole departments against each other and lead to unhappy staff who are
always on the lookout for something better.

Thank you, this was all from my side, now I would like Ritika to go ahead.
