WIRING DIAGRAM GENERAL RULES

The different zones of the lift are identified with the name and a dotted
line which encircles all the components within that area shown in the page.

Every component has its name shown as well.

DET.A, DET,B, DET.C text means there is more detailed

information about that specific connection. Additional
information may be on the same page or in a different
page (in this case, reference to the page is included)

On every page there are horizontal If the circuit continues in other page of the diagram,
and vertical “rulers” that allow the it is shown the termination of the drawing reference

WIRING DIAGRAM GENERAL RULES

Wiring diagram is a collection of standard drawings. Some of these drawings are always present, some others
are present or not depending on the lift options. On each page the following information about the drawing is
shown:

KONE Ecospace and Monospace 500 use KCE technology

SETTINGS OF THE BOARDS

Settings of the blocks of microswitches
KMI interface allows the service mechanic to bridge certain safety contacts. S4 and S5 give the KCEMSC board
information about the presence of safety
contacts for certain options (i.e: swing
doors, low pit, low overhead, etc.)

3 positions slider
allows cancel hall
calls (CHCS in OTIS), Safety contacts are digital inputs to
disable door the boards, independent ones from
operations (DDO) the others (they are not forming a
and make code tests chain). Jumpers allow to by-pass some
of them.

However, control system is able to differentiate between a safety

contact and a shunt → it might not allow the lift to work with several
safety contacts bridged.

SETTINGS OF THE BOARDS NOMENCLATURE OF ELEMENTS (see following

pages for OTIS equivalence)

If there were option boards (KCEOPT or KCEPIO), the setting of

their microswitches as well as their function would be shown
here.

KCEOPT → Same function than the former KCELCE in LCE

technology.
KCEPIO → KCE for Programmable Inputs/Outputs The list is generic, not specific for this unit. It
includes even contacts not present in MRL units but
Once the S1 block is set, the functionality of each input and each in modernizations (KCE Resolve)
output of the board is automatically set.

Core of the VF drive: Rectifier,
rectifier of the drive blocks the path so capacitors of the DC
DC bus, Inverter bus would absorb it, overcharge and get damaged. For
Varistors for protecting preventing this, DC voltage is monitored and, when a
the drive against certain value is exceeded, brake transistor is triggered and
overvoltage current is drawn by de DBR.

between boards by two redundant buses: TTS1 and TTS2. If any of
them fails, lift doesn’t work.

Magnets are not regular magnets: there are different magnets for the different
intermediate level
functionalities. I.e: 130 magnet (intermediate door zone) is different from 130:U (top
door zone) and 151:NS (bottom limit switch).
Each magnet include a RFID sticker with the information of the magnet ID. During the
learning run, KCEDZS reads these stickers in order to know the function of the
magnet and assign them to the specific floor. 54:1 Final limit for Inspection in pit,

Signals equivalent to 1LS and 2LS are not needed due to KCEDZS is able to know the position
when car passes by any door zone (by reading the magnet ID). During correction runs, car travels
to the nearest floor only.
