➢ KONE EcoDisc motor adopts the most advanced permanent magnet
synchronous technology, derived from the principle of linear motor
technology for maglev train.
➢ The stator converts the rotating magnetic field of the traditional motor
into a traveling wave magnetic field moving in the horizontal direction to
form a planar linear ring motor, which is mounted in the motor casing
through the principal axis and bearing.
➢ The rotor is composed of permanent magnet, traction wheel and brake
wheel.
➢ The inside of the motor rotor is a thin large permanent magnet. The rare
earth permanent magnet material is used to obtain large magnetic
excitation. the rotor and stator have the same diameter and are parallel.
➢ The traction wheel integrated with the rotor is always smaller than the
diameter of the rotor, that is, it can easily obtain a larger torque.
➢ The traction wheel is connected to the support by bearings,
➢ The bracket is connected to the housing by mounting screws
➢ Two separate braking systems are mounted on the motor housing,
which act on the brake wheels.
➢ There are two kinds of motor speed monitoring: one is to install
magnetic ring on the traction wheel and measure the motor speed
through induction probe as shown in the figure; the other is to install
Tacho generator or Encode, a rotary encoder, on the shell to measure
the speed of the traction machine in contact with the traction wheel.
➢ The dish tractor can be properly placed in the elevator room or on the
guide rail in the shaft.
