Topic: Cyberbullying

Subject: How to stop cyber bullying

Here I aim to find the causes and consequences of cyber bullying.

Knowing that in recent years there has been great progress in technology and digital media

and we are increasingly using the internet for a wider range of activities. In

cyberbullying, children and adolescents use the Internet and its platforms to harass, psychologically

attack other juveniles with apparent freedom and little control.

The first step that I will take is communication with parents, in order to have the cooperation of

parents in this type of bullying. Because it is the parents who rarely give them the Basic Education

even before the school does. Parents can stop cyberbullying through a few points that will be

mentioned below:
1-Parents should learn to use applications and social networks from various such as: Facebook,

Snapchat Instagram etc.

2-Talk regularly with your children about problems online and let them know that they can help you

if something is inappropriately disturbing or dangerous

3- Build trust with your children. Set time limits, explain your reasons for them, and discuss online

safety rules

4-Do not threaten to take away your children's phone or computer if they come to you for any

problems.

The second step is the cooperation with the schools because that is where the issue becomes even
more difficult. Schools can stop bullying in the first place by adopting a zero-tolerance policy for all

types of bullying, incorporate cybercrime awareness classes into the curriculum, and engage students,

parents, and teachers in discussions about bullying prevention.

School districts should have anti-bullying policies and everyone (school administrators, teachers,

parents and students) should be aware of policies at the beginning of each school year.

And the last step is to inform the children about cyber bullying because it affects them not to respond

to any email, message, application or text message sent by the bully and if they are being bullied tell

an adult right away for help for problem solving.

Do not be a collaborator in conveying any of the messages to other children.

Save, photograph and print all messages as proof and evidence of online bullying.

Cyberbullying is one of the most severe forms of bullying, but I personally would like to give a

solution to this problem so widespread today that many children and adolescents are falling prey to

this type of bullying and are suffering very serious consequences. that we can stay long in their

memory where which can severely damage their mental health and cause them to pass even into some

serious mental illness. That is why it is very important to cooperate with parents, teachers and

children to stop cyberbullying.

Keep the computer in a common area of the house. Do not allow it in your children's bedrooms.

Monitor their online usage.

Tell your children not to respond to online bullying threats or comments. However, do not delete any

of the messages. Instead, print all messages, including cyberbullying email or social media addresses.

You will need messages to verify that there is cyberbullying.

Do not overdo it by blaming your child. If they are being bullied, be supportive and understanding.

Find out how long the bullying has been going on and make sure you will work together to find a

solution. Let your children know that they are not guilty of bullying.

Do not react by ignoring this simply as a "child issue".

Talk to your child's school teachers so they can keep a watchful eye on bullying during the school

day.

If there are threats of physical violence or harassment continues to escalate, involve law enforcement.

Cyberbullying is a growing phenomenon, and since new technologies appeared, more and more cases

have been verified. In fact, the high prevalence of this problem means that numerous studies have

been conducted recently.

However, the results obtained in each study are very different and an exact figure can not yet be given

today.
