Manchester: a great place to shop


Manchester is a paradise for shoppers. There is something for everybody! In one morning you
can buy excellent cheese from a local market, sunglasses from a fashion boutique and your
favourite brand of jeans from a big department store.
Manchester is the main shopping area for the north-west of England. In the city centre you
can visit the Arndale, a shopping mall where you can find all the major UK department stores
and big shops like Marks & Spencer and Zara. If you don't want big shops then you can shop in
the streets near the Arndale where there are a lot of small boutiques. For big brands, you can
visit St Ann's Square and the Victorian Barton Arcade where you can find all the top names in
fashion, like Armani, Hugo Boss and Burberry.
The Trafford Centre is a popular attraction for visitors to Manchester. The centre is an
enormous shopping mall near Manchester. It cost 600 million pounds to build and attracts 30
million visitors a year. It has hundreds of shops and a lot of cool places to eat. You can find
anything from Mongolian to Argentinian restaurants. If you want shopping and entertainment
Manchester is the place to go!
