Q3. Why does the writer feel that being ‘mundane’ is not a bad thing? (Paragraph 2)
Ans. He thinks that it is not a bad thing because sitting in a comfy chair infront of a fire watching television is a
dream after trekking in the cold.

Q 4. Why did the writer decide not to go Kathmandu but to Pokhara instead ?
His main goal was to travel to Anapurna Circuit and he startes from Pokhara instead of Kathmandu.
Q5. Why is the Annapurna Circuit considered to be “the biggest challenge of them all”?
Ans. Its considered as the biggest challenge because it is extremely difficult and cold. The biggest gorge in the
world is is present there right below where people are going.

Q7. Explain the author’s “attitude problem” and why he needs to reappraise it now that he is in Nepal.
Ans. Every where he travels he likes to go extremely fast and wants to be the first one to the destination. Here he
could not do that since it was dangerous and by moving fast he would not be able to see the beauty of the
mountains and nature.

Q9. Explain as fully as you can what the writer says about “the impact of tourism” on the area in the final
paragraph.
Ans. Tourists have made the place look terrible than before by them throwing litter wherever they want but on the
bright side they have raised the economy and people get higher paying job which is a lot better for people than
before.
