This procedure gives the instructions necessary to swap (interchange) the RCCB when RCCB is defective.
Swap the RCCBs only if:

– The Fault Isolation procedure confirms that RCCB is defective, and
– There is no spare RCCB available, and

– The aircraft is in a NO GO configuration (MEL), and

– This is in accordance with the airline policy.
NOGO RCCB: RCCB LRM with at least one RCCB failed leading to a NO_DISPATCH condition according to MEL.
GO or GOIF RCCB: RCCB LRM which allows the dispatch even in case of failure (with or without condition described in MEL).

NOTE: The RCCBs which have the same P/N root must replace the NO GO RCCBs.
NOTE: It is possible that RCCBs of the same P/N root are not interchangeable. It is necessary to refer to the applicable IPD task to
know if you can interchange two RCCBs.

NOTE: It is not necessary to do the test requested in the installation procedure.

(4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on defective RCCB to tell RCCB is inoperable.
(5) Install replacement RCCB (P1, P2 or P3) on position of the defective RCCB:
NOTE: It is necessary to do the test requested when all RCCB are installed.

NOTE: It is mandatory to secure ATA28 RCCBs (refer to ATA28 MEL). If there is a monitoring failure on defective RCCBs
installed in the ATA28 position, these RCCBs have the status NO GO. To remove this status, it is necessary to use
P1 for the replacement.

(1) Put on an ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED WRIST STRAP, and connect the wrist strap cable to the grounding connector (7) of
EPDC1.

(1) Installation of the RCCB
(a) Do a visual inspection and clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(b) Remove the RCCB (2) from the BAG - ANTISTATIC.
(c) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(d) Put the RCCB (2) in position on the current transformer plate (3) and engage the locating pins (4) in the related holes of
the RCCB (2).

(e) TORQUE the captive screws (1) to between 0.08 and 0.09 m.daN (7.08 and 7.96 lbf.in) .
(f) Apply a drop of 04TME5 (Varnish_- Marking System) on the captive screws (1) and on the RCCB (2).
