Activity 2. For prelim

Police as an initiator of actions and prime mover of criminal justice system involve different
functions and one of these is Crime Investigation. Study and analyze the case of Christine
Dacera, determine and pinpoint the conduct/s of the police officers who handled the case
which you think is/are appropriate.
- In reading the article about Christine Dacera’s Case PNP declared that the case of
Christine Dacera is alleged it to be a rape-slay ahead of full investigation. In determining
and to pinpoint the conducts of police Officers who handled the case, the report
“alleged it to be a rape-slay” is one of appropriate conduct/report of the police officers
 because lacerations on her thighs, contusions on her knees, and scratches were found
on Dacera's body. Lacerations and sperm were also found in her genitalia, indicating
that there was sexual contact prior to Dacera's death.

Activity 3.

In the video, the acting chief of Police Station 4 and his station’s Drug Enforcement Unit were
arresting drug suspect Nesty Gongora while the latter’s relatives were trying to stop the cops
from dragging him into a car.

People in the video are squabbled in pulling the drug suspect. One of the police said that it was
a legitimate drug operation although the actual buy-bust was not recorded on the camera.

According to Gongora’s family, he was originally being arrested for quarantine violations for not
wearing mask. But they claimed the police later told that Gongora was caught with sachets of
shabu. Police also filed a case of obstruction of justice against Gongora’s relatives who tried to
stop the arrest.

Also, one of the Police said Gongora tested positive for drug.

In my opinion the police also have violation in that operation because they didn’t bring an
arrest warrant to legally arrest Nesty Gongora. Also, I agreed on the said phrase of Brigadier
General Valeriano De Leon, (director of Central Luzon regional police) that they should have
back up police that wearing a uniform.
