14.5.3 Weight calibration

The weighing position is used to calibrate the fork load indication.

Calibrating the weight indication

Calibration of unloaded forks, free-lift.
1. Select calibration 1 in the upper right window.
2. Lower the unloaded forks to the ground.
3. Lift them at full speed to approximately 1 metre above ground.
4. Wait for approx. 10 seconds.
5. Select the right window using the arrow keys.
6. Read the weight on the CID display (at top centre). Use the plus/mi-
nus keys to compensate the read value to 0 (±5 kg).
For each change, be sure to press the green key to save the value.
Calibration with load, free-lift
1. Pick up a load with a known weight (~ 500 kg) with the forks
2. Change the value “1000” in the lower left window to the known
weight of the load.
3. Lower the forks to the ground, and lift them at full speed to approxi-
mately 1 metre above ground.
4. Wait for approx. 10 seconds.
5. Select the lower right window.
6. Read the weight on the CID display. Use the plus/minus keys to
compensate the read value to the known value of the load (±5 kg).
Calibration of unloaded forks, main lift.
1. Select calibration 2 in the upper right window.
2. Lower the unloaded forks to the ground.
3. Lift them at full speed to approximately 1 metre up into the main lift
range.
4. Wait for approx. 10 seconds.
5. Select the right window using the arrow keys.
6. Read the weight on the CID display (at top centre). Use the plus/mi-
nus keys to compensate the read value to 0 (±5 kg). For each
