- the Reason of migration is probably because they were not able to afford a healthy life. So they take a
decision to shift into a different country for good job and good income.
Migrant, a person who moves from one place to another, especially in order to find work or better living
conditions. (temporary)
- immigrant, is someone who will settle and stay permanently. (enter new country)
- emigrant, leave own country to settle on another country. (leave own country)

**why Women and Children?** - Based on my research, it is said that the most common reason for
migration in India is Marriage. And I think this is also the same in China. But on some countries, female
migrants are migrating independently for work, education, or to fulfill a role as head of household. And
pinakita din dito na Children represented 14% of the stock of international migrants.
As for children, it may be voluntary or involuntarily. I think nangyayari ito sa mga less developed countries,
to the point that Children are trafficked in order to provide labour or are forced to move because of political
violence or environmental disasters.

countries have increased slightly, while the number of middle and low income countries fell.

- The number of international migrants does not just include people who are migrating for work or for
settlement but it also includes 26 million refugees or asylum seekers.
*Asylum seekers- An asylum seeker is a person who leaves their country of residence, and seeks protection
from this other country.
*Refugees are people who have fled war, violence, conflict or persecution and have crossed an international
border to find safety in another country.

- In 2017, The largest number of international migrants (49.8 million, or 19% of the global total) reside in
the United States. Saudi Arabia, Germany and the Russian Federation host the second, third and fourth
largest numbers of migrants worldwide (around 12 million each), followed by the United Kingdom (nearly 9
million).
