I created this resource to be used as a weekly
newsletter and/or as a teacher resource. I have been
using the second grade resource for the past two years
and it has been extremely helpful when I need to preview
the skills for the week or plan lessons for the month. I still
have a weekly newsletter but, I include this on the back.
That way, I only write what I need and don't have to
worry about page numbers, vocabulary words, etc. My
students' parents also appreciated the convenience of
having all the information located in one spot.
One problem that I found with the guided readers is
that I would sometimes use them for more than a week. I
am bad about putting things back where they belong so
it was a huge hassle trying to figure out what order to put
them in. As a result, I created a list of all the guided
readers for the unit. That way, if you just happen to fall
behind or are looking for that one set, you'll be able to
use the list to help find what you need right away.
Finally, I decided to created a chart of the skills
covered for each story in this unit. Hopefully, it will provide
you with a quick look of how the unit progresses and how
to plan accordingly.
Thank you for purchasing this product! I hope it is
helpful.
