tessapryorportfolio.weebly.com position in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District. I have earned a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Biology-Zoology, a SB2042 Single Subject Teaching
Credential in Science, and will have my Masters and credential in
Administrative Services completed May 2022. With 12 years of teaching
experience and first-hand experience with various administrative duties, I am
confident that I possess the qualifications FSUSD needs to promote its mission
and goals and to successfully assist in leading an Elementary School to
excellence.

In my current position at Fairfield High School, I have performed an equity gap

analysis as it pertains to student discipline, guided a first year teacher to self
evaluate her performance using the CSTPs, and am currently working on
creating and implementing a Community of Practice, focusing on supporting
English Language students in science classes. In addition, I have had the
opportunity to collaborate with current administrators through Concordia’s
student chapter of ACSA, an experience that I can say has truly helped me to
better understand the role of an administrator.

Although the majority of my experience lies at the secondary level, I have been
fortunate enough to work alongside the Principal at Jean Callison Elementary
School, where I chair the secretary position of the Parent Teacher Committee.
There, I have been able to facilitate community involvement through site
programs and events, observe the importance of grade level interventions, and
how to best support students' social-emotional well-being. I believe through
this experience, I am well equipped to support students and staff at the
elementary level.

Lastly, through Concordia University, I have gained invaluable first hand

experience as an administrator as well as honed skills that will allow me to be a
successful servant leader while in an administrative role. I am excited to put my
newly learned skills to practice and would love the opportunity to work with
teachers at the elementary school level.

I would value the opportunity to discuss FSUSD’s goals and demonstrate how
my experience can translate to support the students in the Fairfield-Suisun
Unified School District.
