care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

signs, providing fluid therapy, oxygen therapy and giving vital nutrients
to newborns.
• Has a Head-to-toe assessments knowledge of a normal vs. abnormal
findings and reporting of abnormal findings with the Neonatologists,
Pediatrics and other health care provider involved.
• Has a critical thinking to intervene with appropriate interventions for
urgent/emergent care. Care for the acute or critically ill newborn baby.
• Specialized nurses work with physicians and assist in treatment plans and
examinations. Keep maintain and update detailed records of the patient's
care.
• Provide health education and demonstrate to the parents the proper health
care to their well or sick newborn babies.
• Have a basic Intravenous skills for newborn.
• Has a basic understanding of cardiac fetal monitoring equipment
• Duties also offered support to the parents. This parental support can
range from emotional encouragement to advising parents on how to take
care of an infant when they return home.
