DESCRIPTIVE ESSAY

HOW HAS MY LIFE CHANGED? It is another incredible day with my family in 2175. I
don’t have to work because today I can rest to be with them, and I feel like a fish in the water.
Also, I bought a beautiful house in California that is as big as a zoo where I cannot hear the
insufferable hell of a noise that frequently surrounds me. I have been married since 2100. As of
now, I’m 145 years old. It is awesome, is not it? The reason why I have been living a long life as
an old tree is due to the fact that in this time, immortality is possible. I can travel to different
planets like Mars or Jupiter using flying cars, thanks to the development of science, which
allows me to get more technology in my life. In the past, I had a serious problem with cancer,
but this time, there are not any diseases since medicine has gotten so much better.
Immortality has radically changed my life for better or worse.

There are some positive aspects about living this long. I have developed a better work
system that are not as old dinosaurs. Now, I can work just 3 hours! Why? Because the
economy has improved for the better, and this allows me to work fewer hours. Also, imagine
that there are robots that will help me do my job, for example, imagine a robot cooking my
favorite food or cleaning the bathroom, which is usually the most difficult thing to do. They are
like small aliens that talk as a parrot. What is more, the new companies don’t need their
employees to work for 8 hours. Another good change is the transportation technology,
imagine that flying cars have been created and you will not have to smell the garbage of the
whereabouts or be afraid that someone will rob you, which is as fast as an eagle to avoid the
sounds of cars. I also have spaceships working on disparate planets. One better thing is the
education system. Universities continue existing, but they have changed the time required to
finish a career and we can now finish a career in six months. All this thanks to a microchip in
our head that allows us to store information, which means that it is no longer necessary to
study that much.

I can talk about the negative aspects too. One of the most negative aspects is
pollution, the blue sky is like a contaminated sea. The pollution has increased a lot due to the
overpopulation of each planet. Overpopulation was something inevitable to happen, everyone
expected it. As a result, there are people who would rather die than live a long life with no
limits. They have gone through insufferable times. Also, marriage is a specific moment that had
differences between 2175 and the past. In the past, couples used to live with love, but with
immortality all that is left behind, they just look for someone to hang out with, for example, I
have married older men with a lot of money 4 times and they end up dying, I'm still waiting for
the fifth. However, I decided to live anyways, but sometimes I just want to die because I can’t
stand to be alive any longer.

To conclude, in 2175 everything has changed, there are positive and negative aspects,
but I think that things can improve with time, and I can fix the negative aspects to have a
better life. People complain a lot, but I think I can be more empathetic and hope for the best.
But we must admit that the future has improved in certain aspects. Im grateful to have had the
opportunity to live this life, but it is the turn of the new generation as everyone always says”
The life’s circle still exists”.
