INTRODUCTION Cost of Gable Roofing Construction

A gable roof is a roof consisting of two sections
whose upper horizontal edges meet to form its ridge.
The most common roof shape in cold or temperate
climates, it is constructed of rafters, roof trusses or
purlins. The pitch of a gable roof can vary greatly.Its
versatility means that the gable roof is used in many
regions of the world. In regions with strong winds
and heavy rain, gable roofs are built with a steep
pitch in order to prevent the ingress of water. By
comparison, in alpine regions, gable roofs have a
shallower pitch which reduces wind exposure and
supports snow better, reducing the risk of an
uncontrolled avalanche and more easily retaining an
insulating layer of snow.
A Gabled Roof generally has two sides having a slope
starting from the ridge toward the ends of the roof.
The two sloping sides that meet create end walls that
have a triangular extension, called the gable.
Generally, the cost of construction is around $8 to $16 per square foot.
For a 1000 square foot roof, costs work out to be anywhere from $
8000 to $16,000 on average. Additional gables and dormers can bring
up the costs.

The major difference between a gable
roof and a hip roof is nos. of sloping
sides. Hipped roofs have all roof sides
slope downward over the walls of your
home. A Gable roofing system only has
two sides or peaks that slope

 MATERIAL DETAILS
The steel structure shed building is a light steel
structure building. The primary structure of the steel
shed is H-shaped steel, including steel columns, steel A
beams, or floor beams, and the roof and wall panels
use corrugated single color sheets fixed on the purlins C
and wall girt.
There are three primary Steel Roof types:-
● Galvanized Steel is actually created by using a layer of B
Zinc to protect an inner layer of steel from corrosion.
● Galvalume Steel uses a combination of Aluminum and
Zinc. Due to its Aluminum qualities, Galvalume offers
better surface protection than Galvanized, but is
vulnerable to scratches or cut edges.
● Weathering Steel is a form of steel that was originally
designed for use in heavy steel industries like bridge
construction.. It's important to remember that
Weathering Steel does intentionally rust, and is not
designed to be used as a structural solution for steel
roofing.
