At Our September Meeting
We had another great day at our September Spring Show meeting!
Again we went through our Hall Covid Safe plan and the Club Covid Safe plan just to
make sure everyone knew what was going on, but I think we are getting used to the
new way all businesses, groups and other gatherings now have to conduct themselves.
All good if it keeps us all safer..!!

Thank you to everyone for bringing in your plants in for the Show.
We had about 70 plants on show
Many different genera, colours, shapes and sizes were on display. It was indeed lovely
to walk around the hall and look at the scene as a whole and then flowers individually. I
am always happy when spring arrives, not only for the warmer weather (although I am
still waiting for that), but also for the profusion of blooms that emerge from the hearts
of the plants.
It really is show off time for the plants..!!!

At Our October Meeting

At our next meeting, we need you there at about 12.15 so we are ready to start lunch
at 12.30 We have our usual caterer cooking for us. It will be a great day and we have a
big mob coming in for the feed and fun...!

Please BYO drinks if you like to have something with your meal. We are permitted to
consume all types of drinks at the Hall. I may be able to help you if you open a bottle of
wine and can’t drink it all. I would hate it to go to waste....I do prefer red wine but
white wine is fine by me...!!

We will be having our normal raffle and plant judging/discussions and also normal
trading table.

Please bring in any flowering orchids you have. Stephen and John will tell you all about
them and give you tips on how to get them flowering even better... if that is possible..!!

We will also have a “Mystery door prize”. Please bring a wrapped present to the value
of $10.00, to participate. Anyone that brings in a gift will be issued with a ticket and
when your number is drawn, you will receive a present from the special gift table. We
will not have any thieving this year but we will have a bit of a different way to work out
which gift you get...!!
Now that alone should want you to be in it!!!
If you have any plants you need some help with (not necessarily repotting) please bring
them in... I am sure you will be able to get many views and opinions on how you should
deal with the plant

Please bring in any flowering plants you have. The judges love seeing different plants
no matter what they look like...!!!

Committee members, please be at Hall at 10.00am for hall setup and meeting

If you come to any of our meetings and you are not too sure about something, ask
Maureen or Wendy our Covid Marshalls. You can’t miss them in their bright vests!!

If you are not feeling well, DO NOT COME TO THE MEETING....

I cannot stress this enough..

As much as we love seeing u, we have the Hall Covid Safe Plan and our own Club Covid
Safe Plan that we need to follow for everyone’s safety. You will need to sign in but we
have our own QR code to make it easy for you. We will also have a sign in sheet for
those that prefer that method.

Current regulations require you to wear a mask..... please bring your own mask. I am
sure you all know the drill now...

Unfortunately you will still not be able to help yourself to tea and /or coffee. These will
be available but only on request.

Chairs will be spaced out a bit more than usual and you might have to shout out a bit
louder to talk to people but I am sure you will work it all out.

We have plenty of room for everyone to be seated spaced out so no problems there.

Trading Table
The trading table will be operating so if you have any plants to sell, bring them in and
put them on the sales bench. Don’t forget to list them (and give the list to Lesley) and
mark them with the price.
Don’t forget, you can bring in any plants for sale on the trading table.... not just orchids
