Registrars Report: A good selection of genera was put on

display in Open Division with 18 plants benched. The eventual
winner was Milt. phymatochila, owned by Steve Howard. Two
very nice spikes with many branches. The shape of the flowers
was unusual compared to the standard shapes we are used to
seeing. The background colour was yellow with brown
blotches. The lips were of a solid white. In First Division, here
were only 7 plants benched with the winner being Onc.
Splinter x sphacelatum, grown by Kyle Howard. A lovely
display of yellow flowers with brown/red striping on a handful
of tall spikes, this was a nice eye-catching plant. In Second
Division, there were 14 plants benched including some
Cymbidiums which are late to flower. The winner was a very
nice Onc. Sphacelatum, grown by Mike Gray & Xuan Vu. very
typical of the species with 4 very floriferous spikes of small
flowers. The flowers were yellow with brown blotches, the
labellum a solid yellow. Thanks to all those that brought in
plants to make a lovely display for the final meeting of 2021.
