As the closes neighbour, Western Australia is one of the most
loved places for Indonesian tourists, students, businesses, and
migrants. There are about 9000 Indonesian in Western Australia of
which about 4000 are students. The Indonesia community makes
a significant contribution to colorful culture life and economy in
Western Australia
In 2006, Indonesia’s trading with Western Australia reached its
best level since 2005 with exports valued around A$ 1,366 billion
and imports valued around A$ 1,254 million, creating a surplus
of around A$ 111,5 million. Key strengths were the export of gold
(non-monetary) to Western Australia, petroleum and its product
and related materials
Considering the great importance of Indonesia, the Western
Australia Government awarded Indonesia with the Guest Nation
status at the Perth Royal Show 2007 (29 September – 6 October
2007).
In the Indonesian Pavillion of 990 m2 hall and Indonesian
Foodcourt of 200 m2, we aim to excite the visitor’s imagination
and curiosity to explore Indonesian cultures, gastronomic, and
economic diversity. Indonesia is now emerging from its
previous financial crisis and has set an ambitious target to
further develop its economic. Reflecting to this vision, we
have proposed the theme of Indonesia – Guest Nation –
“DISCOVER A NEW INDONESIA”

in the Pavilion
Departement of Culture & Tourism Indonesia: Go Beyond Bali! Discover
the unrevealed paradises through out Indonesia for your holiday enjoyment.
Dept. of Cultural & Tourism will provide plentiful information on various tour-
ism destinations in Indonesia that suits all budget. The year 2008 is Visit Year
Indonesia.[1]
East Java Province: With a population of more than 37 million, East Java
holds a prominent role in Indonesia economy today. The sister-province/state
relation with Western Australia synergistically and complementary is very po-
tential to the economic development for both. In 2007 PRS, as a sister-province,
East Java will occupy 126m2, the largest area of exhibition, with a large number
of participants.
East Java will also offer opportunity to buyers from WA to meet directly with
entrepreneurs form Indonesia in one on one meeting. East Java will also pres-
ent a tourism and culture officials as well as Investment Board. Please visit the
Balinese stand at the Indonesian Pavilion to discover more.[2]
Bali: A magnet that has been very familiar for the Australian community. Bali
was known for its beautiful nature and unique culture. All this will be compre-
hensively featured in the Indonesian Pavilion. The Balinese team will include
provincial government, tourism and culture officials as well as Investment
Board. Please visit the Balinese stand at the Indonesian Pavilion to discover

Jakarta: The city of thousands of dreams is the name that may perhaps suit
Jakarta. As the nation’s capital, Jakarta has allured millions of migrants. At the
Indonesian Pavilion, Jakarta will be presenting many of their best commodities,
a tourism destination, a shopper heaven, and a great investment destination for
investors. Please, enjoy Jakarta ! [4]
Garuda Indonesia: As the national airline, Garuda Indonesia serves the flight
from Perth direct 4 times a week to Jakarta and 10 times a week to Bali. Garuda
Indonesia is the official airline partner for PRS 2007 and will offer special rate
for the participants. During the Perth Royal Show event, Garuda Indonesia will
provide 5 free tickets to be drawn. This will be held in cooperation of Garuda In-
donesia and the proud Western Australia daily newspaper “The West Australia”.

Kinarya GSP : It has a long history of performing magnificent and excellent
combination between traditional and modern dances. GSP is led by Guruh Soek-
arno Putra who also interested in preserving Batik as Indonesian Heritage [6]
Tunas Hijau : Environmental Protection Group from Surabaya that has a close
cooperation with Millennium Kids of Perth [7]
Perkumpulan Nurani Budaya Indonesia : Association of ladies who protect
and promote Batik as Indonesian Heritage [8]
BPEN : Also known as NAFED (National Agency for Export Development).
BPEN main task is to develop and promote Indonesian Export Commodities [9]
Mariza Food : Indonesian dry food retailer in Perth [10]
HIPPI : Association of Native Indonesian Entrepreneur that has the goal to
promote, among others, Indonesian handicraft, furniture, and interior acces-
sories.[11]
CBH Group : Western Australian based CBH Group, handles and markets grain.
The CBH Group is a leading grains industry organization, marketing grain to
over 20 export destinations and with a total storage capacity in excess of 19
million tones. CBH is committed to maximizing returns to its growers. CBH
is controlled by over 5,500 grower-shareholders, who plant and harvest grain
grown across some 320,000 square kilometers that comprise the Western Aus-
tralian grain belt. CBH with Bogasari Indonesia operates a flour mill in Makassar
for Eastern Indonesia flour market. [12]
Batik House : With many years of experience in Batik industry, Batik House
will demonstrate how to paint hand-made batik with ‘canting’ in its workshop
during the show. They will also sell some beautiful and unique patterned Batik

Osh5One : Osh5One is one of the famous Indonesian restaurants. Besides
authentic Indonesian culinary, Osh5One also have their bakery department that
provides delicious and genuine Indonesian bakery recipe. They also run a booth
that sells Indonesia handcrafts and statues. [14]
East and West Nusa Tenggara Province: Two neighboring provinces with
diverse natural resources, West Nusa Tenggara & East Nusa Tenggara will
present their own individual uniqueness at the Indonesian Pavilion. West
Nusa Tenggara will perform the Sasak dance and will put on display the
beauty of sea pearls distinctively form Mataram as well as their unique Tenun
Ikat/Woven cloth.
East Nusa Tenggara will be featuring Florest art by the Flobamora group as
well as the exhibition of exquisite Tenun Ikat/Woven cloth that is uniquely

Jamu Jago: The traditional medical treatment by using the herbs and plants
as the herbal tonic has been the habit that adhered in Indonesian culture. At
the Indonesian pavilion this tradition is presented by Jamu Jago Herbal Tonic.

Jamu Tradisional Spa: The traditional herbal tonic spa is a developing

Indofood: Indofood is the biggest food producer in Indonesia with extensive

please visit the Indonesian Pavilion where they will exhibit for the full 8 days

IFG : International Finance Group main activities are to provide information
and assistance in financing properties in Australia [19]
The House of Emaan: Emaan is one of the leading Islamic garments stores
throughout Australia. In fact, Emaan is based in Melbourne, Victoria. Emaan
understands from a Muslim’s point of view how frustrating it can be to find
clothes that are versatile, conservative but still up to date with Australia’s ever
changing fashion climate. Visit Emaan at the Indonesia pavilion to find your
Muslim & Muslimah fashionable wear for every occasion. Including Hajj at-

WILTA : As an organization of Indonesian Language teachers of Western
Australia, WILTA will collaborate with Persatuan Bookshop, Ltd. to promote
Indonesian language at PRS 2007. [21]
AIYEP: is an organization of Australian Indonesia youth exchange program.
Their returnees will perform various traditional dances throughout the PRS
2007 at the Indonesian Pavillion. [22]
BHP Billiton is the world’s largest diversified resources company and is
ranked 3rd in primary nickel production globally. Its Stainless Steel Materials
Customer Sector Group services the global stainless steel industry through
its wide range of high quality nickel products. In Western Australia the Nickel
West business is one of the world’s largest producers of nickel-in-concentrate
providing 16 percent of global nickel-in-concentrate production.
BHP Billiton has a strong history with Indonesia both in terms of nickel ore
purchases for its Yabulu Refinery, coal and exploration activities. In fact our
relationship with Indonesia goes back to the 1860s when Billiton was founded
as a tine miner on Belitung Island. [23]
