Literally, everything that’s been produced in our society was designed by engineers, from

roads, buildings, engines, gadgets, and every modernized tool we used these days. What I love

about engineering subject is that you can convert things into real life application, not only in

mathematical approach but into things that we can use daily. Like for example, study of

thermodynamics allows you to understand certain engines that you used in your cars, aircrafts,

and other application of engines. It teaches you knowledge to develop and create efficient and

more reliable engines. In terms in my field of study (Aeronautical Engineering), the significant

factors to be considered and realized is the efficiency and safety of the aircrafts. Nowadays,

engineers are trying to develop commercial airplanes which can reduce the fuel consumption to

decrease the emission of gases that affects the environment, also to help company earn more

money. In military aircrafts, engineers like in NASA is currently developing a supersonic aircraft

that has less sonic boom. Also, they are improving manned unmanned teaming or in broad sense,

autonomous systems in aircraft. In this way, air force can easily generate strategy in pursuing

certain missions. In contrary, there are many areas that you can focus in aviation, you can design

and enhance the performance of an aircraft, or you can implement efficient approach in airports

and airlines, and these certain areas can be easily achieved through engineering.
