INTRODUCTION
LIGHT:
Light travels in a straight line.
When any object falls on the line of the light it cuts the path of the
light and it bounces back into our eyes beacouse of which we are
able to see.

SHADOW:
The dark area that is formed behind and object, that does not allow
light to pass through it, is a shadow.
Shadows are formed on the opposite side of the source of the light.

LUMINOUS OBJECTS:
Object which emit their own light are known as Luminious objects.
The light from these objects directly reaches our eyes, and hence we
see the light sources as bright and shiny.

GLASS Artificial lighting
Transparent object

Natural lighting
A transpaent glass and
water allow light to pass
through them. And the
shadow was reflected
as the pattern of lines.
GLASS JAR Natural lighting
Translucentobject

Natural lighting
A translucent glass allows
the light to partially pass
through them.

And the shadow is formed

with a partial light
reflected through it.
CANDLE
Artificial lighting
Opaque object
Natural lighting
Lighted candle flame is
opaque and we cannot see
throuh it. But light
spreading away from the
light source is transparent
and we can see through it,
that is converging light rays
are opaque but light rays
diverging is transparent.
TEA CUP
Artificial lighting
Opaque object

Opaque objects like cup is open Natural lighting

in the top and light also falls
inside the cup but cannot pass
throught the solid part.

A part of dark and light shade is

formed like an arc inside the cup
when the light source is
diagonally in the top of the
object.
FORK
Artificial lighting
Opaque object

Opaque objects like fork allow Natural lighting

light in between empty spaces
and the shadow is formed like
lines alternatively.

It creates a good pattern and

hence we can play with lights
and shadows forming different
patterns.
