INCREASING THE
AWARENESS AND
DONATION TOWARDS
AIM :-
17,000 children under the age of 5 years die every day
due to shortage of funds and man power. We investigate the
knowledge, attitude and practice towards UNICEF program and
donations among the earning individuals in a family.

Objective

 To determine the knowledge about the UNICEF and to


assess the attitude and practice towards the funding for the
same

 To spread knowledge to the people regarding UNICEF and its


campaigns.

 To assess the anticipated increase in the willingness to


donate or change in attitude towards donation following a
one time education intervention
RESEARCH QUESTION

 Will an educational session of a lecture about


UNICEF program in a video presentation given
to 200 earning individuals of 50 families bring
about an increment in knowledge of UNICEF,
attitude and practice towards the donation for the
same.

 What is the current attitude and practice among


200 earning individual towards the donation?

 What is the amount of awareness of people


towards organization like UNICEF?

INTRODUCTION
"UNICEF believes, All children have a right to survive, thrive and
fulfill their potential – to the benefit of a better world." ¹
Globally UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to
reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. Across 190
countries and territories, they work for every child, everywhere, to
build a better world for everyone. ¹

UNICEF is an organisation that works to protect the rights of


children all across the world, in India alone, they have worked for
almost 70 years to help improve the lives of children and their
families.

According to the UNICEF India Annual Report for the year 2019:

● UNICEF helped quality healthcare reach them in 23 States


and 39 Aspirational districts.
● Millions of children who could have become stunted, are now
living healthy lives through UNICEF supported nutrition
services.
● UNICEF helped provide safe sanitation facilities to 100
million households where millions of children were exposed
to life-threatening diseases due to lack of safe drinking water
or toilets.
● 34 million vulnerable children learnt more and better through
UNICEF supported child-centred teaching practices.
● Children in distress across 17 States were supported through
UNICEF's specialised services.

Study Design & Population


This experimental study was conducted among the working class
individuals and their families during the period of_________. A
group of 50 working individuals in the age group 25-50 of
different income groups was taken to assess their KAP
(knowledge, attitude and practice) towards UNICEF donations.
Assessment Tool-
A self-administered structured questionnaire was used to assess
the data among the working individuals. The questionnaire
collects data about individuals’ demographic characteristics and
their KAP with regard to UNICEF. The final questionnaire
includes 10 knowledge questions, 8 attitude items and 7
questions to assess practice.
Knowledge Score-
knowledge was assessed via 10 questions that covered general
about UNICEF programmes .
Attitude Score-
A 3-pint likert scale of the individuals’ response to 8 statements
was assess their belief towards UNICEF programs ad
donations.Scores for positive attitude statements ranged from
two(for those who agreed) to zero(for those who disagreed).
The opposite of this scoring was used.
Practice assessment-
Whether they have donated before and towards which
programme and through whom.
