Description of the Subject:

This subject is to introduce macroeconomics concepts to students and to make students


aware about how business environment affects businesses. The subject is designed to
provide students with an understanding of the forces that shape the healthcare sector in
particular. This is done by enabling an understanding of the demographic, economic,
competitive and technological developments that transform the marketplace and impact the
retail business models. An understanding of the causes that lead to success and failure is
also drawn upon.

Course Objectives:
1 To understand the foundation of business strategies through understanding
Environment of Business.
2 To understand range of issues like sustainable Development and globalization.
3 To help students carry out an environment scan to identify business Opportunities
and threats.
