The Boy and the Wolf


Once there was a boy who had the task of taking care of some sheep so the
hungry wolves wouldn’t devour them. One day the boy was bored so he
shouted, “Wolf! Wolf!” The people from the village came running. When they
arrived, they saw that there was no wolf. They were angry with the boy
because he had lied to them. The boy just laughed and laughed. A few days
later, the boy was bored again so he shouted, “Wolf! Wolf!” again and the
people came running to help him. The next day, the wolf came to attack the
sheep. The boy was terrified. He yelled, “Wolf! Wolf!” He begged for someone to
help him. However, no one came to help the boy and the wolf ate all the sheep.
