• In this topic, students will define the process of photosynthesis and learnt the

• In this topic, students will learn the concepts of chemical and mechanical
digestion. The supplementary content allows students to learn about human teeth
& tooth decay. Students also learn about malnutrition & a healthy diet.
• In the supplementary syllabus, students will learn about the alimentary canal and
the digestive process in human.
Transport in Plants
• Students will learn about transport in plants through the xylem and phloem.
• The process of transpiration is also highlighted.
Transport in Animals
• In this topic, the entire circulatory system is highlighted in detail.
• Students will learn about cardiovascular diseases & treatments
• Students will learn the factors that increases or decreases heartbeat rate

SCOPE:  Students are going to learn about centre of mass, the effects of forces on motion, and
turning effect of force before moving on to the topic of pressure. They will learn about
how to measure pressure using barometer and manometer, the units of pressure,
calculation of pressure using formula, explain air pressure using kinetic molecular theory
and describe the relationship between pressure, volume and temperature. In thermal
physics, kinetic molecular model will be taught first and followed by evaporation and
thermal expansion. The relationship between temperature and pressure will be included
in this topic. Students will learn about thermal processes which includes conduction,
convection and radiation at the end of this unit.
