sound. Rhyming words are two or more words that have the similar or same ending
sound. The words which rhyme at the end are called rhyming words, like cat, bat,
hat.....van, pan, man..... To make it more clear give them some idea, like some time
we name sisters and brothers which sounds like a rhyme...Mahin, Rahin or Rony,
Bony...... Now ask them like previous classes today they will learn more rhyming
words with “un” and “ug”. Remind them they will change only first letter. Last two
letters will be same all the time and also remind them that word should be
meaningful. Make them practice these rhyming words with spelling as well as their
meaning. Ask them to say some words with ‘u’ in the middle. With “ un “ ( sun, bun,
run, fun, gun, )

and with “ug” ( bug, rug, tug, mug, hug, pug, dug )

rug- a small carpet like mat

O.R.C

Instructions;

Parents are requested to explain what is called blending sound --- Usually blending
sound is the ability to build words from individual sounds. For example, we can blend
the sounds m, o, m to form the word mom. In this way they are already familiar
with so many three (3) letters words. Like: dad, bat, net, pin, log, sun etc. Today
they will blend two or more than two consonants or letters together, like d and r
together dr. This is called the blend of the letters. With dr we can say more
words like: drink, dream etc. Same way they can say with cr like crown, crack etc.
Now make them practice these blending sound words with spelling as well as their
meanings. Words are..

dr — drum, dress, drill, drink

cr — cry, crack, crown, crab

tr — train, tree, trophy, trunk

fr — fruit, frame, fry, frog

br — brick, brush, bread, bridge
