This article is a journal of child neurology written by Michael I. Shevell and originally
published online on Sep 8, 2009. Shevell convincingly describes and identifies infant and toddler
developmental impairments as a set of chronic diverse diseases with a known abnormality, either
qualitative data collection in origin, in the acquisition and expression of early developmental
skills as an essential core component. Cerebral palsy, cognitive language delays, and
psychological disorders are the main impairments described and covered in this article. Cerebral
palsy is a persistent but not unchangeable mobility and posture issue that appears in the early
neurodevelopmental disorders has resulted in entities that could exist side by side in the same
person.
After reading this article, I find multiple ideas and concerns that were discussed in this
course. For example, recognizing a child's developmental disorder accurately is a must before
providing proper care. Furthermore, a significant topic that was highlighted throughout the
course is that the lack of objective tools of diagnosis suggests that our understandings will stay in
a needed and inescapable state of flux for the coming years. This project has broadened my
perceived them. Finally, I would suggest this article to my colleagues for professional research
purposes on the issue, as well as to healthcare professionals who want to learn more about how
