1 Introduction
Introduction should be a brief description of the site/ place you visited. You can include the
information about the institute/ purpose of the particular project.
Tables and Figures are used to give clear & summarized information. All the Tables and the
Figures should have a Caption. Figures/ images/ graphs should be captioned as figures. The
text inside them should be of font size 9 or larger and should be embedded into the figure.
Figure captions should be put below the figures and must be center aligned. All figures and
tables must be center aligned. Table captions must come above the table, preferably center
aligned. If you are left aligning the table caption, do so in the entire report.
All the figures and tables should be referred in the text. Locate in text as close as possible
after the first reference.

2 Industrial Process
Briefly describe the Industrial Processes relevant to the project you visited. Information other
than what you observed during the visit can be included here by referring to any other source.
2.1 Headings
Arabic numerals (1,2,3,4 etc.) to number text from Introduction to end of Appendices.
Use Times New Roman throughout the report. Normally 12 point font. 9 or larger but less
than 12 point can be used inside Figures & Tables, if required. Italics can be used to
emphasize text, where necessary. Underlining should be avoided.

3 Observation
Briefly describe what you observed relevant to the industry. Photos should be included.
Full justification (right & left margins) preferred throughout the documents. Line spacing
should be 1.5. Extra line spacing can be used to separate paragraphs, figures, tables etc. from
text.
Effective use of technical language is a critical part of report writing. Important aspects of
technical language are structure, grammar, vocabulary and punctuation. Report must be
written appropriately for its audience. Purpose of a report must be decided before writing
begins. Once it is clear why a report is being written, then how to write will become more
evident.

You can list out what new things you observed in point form. Include figures if required.

Briefly write your conclusion. Should not go more than half a page.
