The Importance Of Organic Growth

Anik Singal: All right. I'm back and congratulations. You're moving on to module two.
I'm excited for you because now we're going to start doing some
decision-making, right. So you've gotten a lot of the high-level feedback,
the high-level understanding of how an email business works. We are
now going to start really diving in. You're going to pick a niche in this
module. So let's talk about, you know, the importance of organic growth.
More than anything I want to talk to you about something called The Law
of Momentum. And I want to give you a visual that I really want you to
keep with you because it's almost like I can see into your future. So let
me have a real moment with you. No matter how much we are here for
you, and we're here for you, listen, you can submit support tickets. You
can join us on daily coaching hours.

You can, there are just so many things that you can do with us, right?
We're here for you. We will. If you want to submit support tickets, go for
it. We will help answer all your questions. You know, we've got, join us at
the Lurn Nation Facebook group, if you want just moral support from
people, but, in the end, no matter how much support you have in your
friend circle, your family circle, at Lurn, and with me and with my
coaches, and you're going to have some tough days. You're going to have
some struggles. It's just part of the journey of, of, of becoming an
entrepreneur. Sometimes people look at that and say, oh my God, how
could that be? I don't want hard days. Well, listen. I always say this.
When you want to be an entrepreneur, you're basically looking you
basically want to become an Olympic athlete, in my opinion.

Now, those who are very successful and go off to become amazing
entrepreneurs are gold medalists. All right? But even to get a chance to
show up at the Olympics, you've got to be good. Now, I just want you to
think about Michael Phelps for a second. Michael Phelps trains 10 to 12
hours a day. You don't think he's gone through a couple of hurt muscles,
bruised something, broken bones, tough days, days where he couldn't
get out of bed. Don't you think he's had some races he's lost, things that
haven't worked? It's just part and parcel of the process. Listen, forget
Michael Phelps. Forget the Olympics. Think about your own life. Come
on. You learn to walk. Didn't you fall when you were a kid, maybe you
have kids. Come on. You can show me one child that's walked without
falling. I will stop doing what I do.

All right. When you wanted to learn how to ride a bike, did you not fall a
couple of times? When you wanted to learn how to drive a car, did you
not make some mistakes? When you wanted to get your, when you,
when you went to school, did you not have some things you failed at?
When you got your job were there not some things that you didn't do,
right a couple of times? It's part and parcel of the process. It's just that
when it's a business, we're really hard on ourselves. The other thing is we
have a misbelief about going and becoming an entrepreneur. Listen,
whether you're launching a solo business online, which is what an email
business is. And I love this business because of the freedom it gives you,
the cash flow it gives you the free passive income it gives you. I mean,
even Robert Kiyosaki loves this business, this course, he loves endorsing it
to all of his students because it's such a powerful, powerful model.

But having said that, you've got to put the time and energy upfront. The
misconception people have about this kind of business model is that, oh,
I'm just going to walk in and glide right through and I will never have a
problem. You got to learn things and things won't work. And I'm going to
give you one visual right now that nobody can disagree with and this is
the reality of anything new you do in life. Remember something, The Law
of Momentum is the most, most applicable law when you are first
starting something new, especially when you are becoming an
entrepreneur. So I want you to have this vision with me. So let's say, your
car has stopped. Okay? It won't start. You need to kind of push it, get it
moving and then crank the engine. So you put it in, you put it in neutral
and you go to the back of the car and you start to push because you got
to get it moving.

So you're pushing, you're pushing, you're pushing you're alone and it

won't move. It's taken all your energy and might every bit, you're just
pushing and it won't move. And then suddenly your friend comes and
helps you. Your other friend comes and helps you. Now, you got four
people pushing with all their might, and the car moves, it starts to move.
It starts to move. As it picks up pace, you have to push less. As a matter
of fact, there's a point in time at which you could keep that car moving
just yourself. Maybe even with just one hand, putting in about half the
energy that you were when you were trying to get it to go and you were
failing and it took four of you to get it to go. It's because the car has
forward momentum now, but remember how much effort it took to get it
moving.

So in the beginning, when you're starting anything new, especially a

business, it's a little tougher and it's okay. It's normal. You're going to

have things that don't work. You're going to make mistakes. You're going
to have things that confuse you. That's the biggest one. We're going to
teach you something in a video and you're going to, the video will be
done. You're going to go, huh? And then you're going to feel, oh I can't do
it. This isn't for me. I don't know what's going on. Stop it. Come join the
community and get the support you need. Watch the video again. Join
the Facebook group. Show up, submit a support ticket. We will support
you. You will get it. That's just a part of the process. You know what? Go
watch some YouTube videos. Dig your heels in, call a friend, come on, get
more people to help you push that car.

You will get it, but it is a little bit tougher in the beginning. You need to
invest that time and money to get your business off the ground. Look, at
Lurn, if you decide you need more specific, you're like, you know what? I
need even more aggressive coaching. I need a one-on-one coach. I need
more support. Okay, fine. We have programs to help you do that. As a
matter of fact, I will ask my team to put a link below this video that allows
you to submit a request, to talk to someone from our team one-on-one
on the phone about some of the more advanced one-on-one hands-on
coaching programs we have, maybe one's right for you. Maybe it isn't but
the point in time is that when you're beginning, you got to put it in.
You're at the beginning. Now you've got to put that time and energy in.

You’ve got to put what you've got in. How bad do you want it? And know
that some things will be harder. Some things will be tougher. Some things
won't make as much sense. It's the beginning. It takes more push, takes
more energy but once it gets moving, it's easier. And this is my second
thing I got to tell you, okay, that when you face that resistance, you're
going to hit a tipping point, right? This is the point where things start to
work. You figured one thing out, you struggled so hard to get your opt-in
page up. You shouldn't, but let's say you did. It was a challenging part of
your business and then finally you conquered it, it's up. And this is the
mistake a lot of entrepreneurs make, okay. They make this mistake. I'll
come back to the tipping point slide. They make this mistake where they
go.

Oh, okay. Finally. Gosh, got the page up. I, I'm going to go take a couple
of weeks off. All right. Or it's the other one, the other mistake I see made
a lot is, oh man, this model, this business is too hard. I'm going to go try
dropshipping. I'm going to go try Amazon. Just when you were starting to
get that car moving, you put all that time and energy pushing and
pushing and it was just about to move and you go do something else.
Guess what happens with the car when you stop pushing it? It stops. So

it's like this, all right, you got a car going. You're pushing it and pushing
and pushing. It starts to move and you're like, ooh, look at that car. So
you run over to the other car. Oh, it's so hard to push. In the meantime,
that other car you were pushing stops.

Now you got a bunch of cars that are stopped. You got to, you're always
pushing hard. This is why things are difficult. You're always in the process
of pushing things hard. Pick one, stay with it, start pushing it. Let that Law
of Momentum kick in, call your friends, get them going. And you know
what? Once things start moving, don't stop. This is why I've had
conversations with my team before with team members. They're like,
Hey, we had a great year. Oh man, we worked so hard. We had a good
year. Can we take a break? No., you cannot take a break. We can grow.
We can expand. We can bring more people to help us, but we're not
taking a break. We got momentum. We are going to go. We're going to
push, we're going to push harder because that's how you actually have
massive success. So the tipping point, the tipping point is where you
break free of the inertia of starting.

Okay. This is a very common concept talked about in businesses, talked

about in life. In a company, and you could actually if you ever look at the
graph of a company and you look at their revenue, you can actually tell
exactly where that tipping point is. The tipping point is where things just
start to happen naturally. So at one of the companies I own, we had to
fight hard, okay, and we were fighting and fighting to get our customers.
We were losing money and it was so painful and every day was stress.
And I kept telling the company, and, and, and, and everyone in the
management team, they, we, we all understood it. So I didn't have to tell
them, but the rest of the company said, guys, there will be a tipping
point. We got to get to the tipping point, keep pushing. We got to get to
the tipping point because when we hit the tipping point, what will
happen is once we hit X number of customers, if we keep them happy,
they'll start telling other people.

And those other people will start automatically coming to the company.
The more customers you have, the more word of mouth you have, the
more word of mouth you have, the more customers you have, the more
customers you have, the more word of mouth you have. So in an email
business, listen, you know, in an email business, how do you create
organic business growth? Get your page up, get some leads coming in,
start giving them good content, and master one form of traffic. The more
you master that form of traffic, the easier that form of traffic gets, the
more you invest in that form of traffic, the cheaper that traffic gets, the

more relationships you build, it creates organic growth. The bigger your
list gets serve that list well, give them good content. They may start
forwarding your emails. I get this all the time.

My emails I send to my list, get forwarded to other people. Those other

people ended up finding out about me. Look at my YouTube videos. Look
at my Facebook videos, things get shared. Things get posted. That takes
my brand, my message, my voice out wider. So pick one thing and stick to
it. And you know what? It all starts with picking the right niche. And that's
what we're talking about in this module. So picking the right niche will set
you up for getting that momentum. Look, in the right niche customers
will seek out the solutions you provide. I'm going to give you an example.
A lot of times students will pick a niche that has that they couldn't care
less about. I remember once I tried to build, this is a, it's going to be a
funny confession. I tried to build an email business in the niche of
breastfeeding.

Can you tell me and I was, by the way, I was like 20 I would have been 24,
25 years old, a 24, 25-year-old male, trying to build an information
business around the topic of breastfeeding. I was screwed from the
beginning. Here's why. Okay. First of all, the business didn't work out very
well. I tried for a couple of weeks. It didn't work. And then I quit. Why?
Because I don't care about breastfeeding. I mean, it's not passion. I'm not
passionate about it, right? I just not, I'm not, it's not even, it doesn't even
make sense to me. I can't relate to it. At the same time though, I always
ask this question. What is it that you are interested enough in to create
content that will naturally just attract people? So here are some things,
check yourself. What do you do at night before you go to sleep?

What are you looking at? Articles online? Are you reading Facebook posts
and what topic? So for me, I love researching cars. Whether I have a
business about cars or not I'm always reading about them, learning about
them, playing with them. So if I were to start a business tomorrow, like a
blog or something, or an opt-in page on cars, I don't know if I would really
care if it's making money or not. I'm still going to look them up every
night. I'm still going to research them every night. So when you have that
kind of passion about something, you automatically create organic
momentum because you are just better at it. You're just going to devote
more to it. You're just going to enjoy it whether it makes money or not, it
will be irrelevant in many ways to you. So that's pretty important to kind
of keep that in mind.

All right. And then, when you're really interested in something, you're
always going to be learning and talking about it, which I just said, that
creates organic momentum. And, this makes you grow consistently. It's a
big part of it. It's not enough. Okay. It's not enough, but this is a very
important module. And I really, really, really want you to take your time
as you go through it. I don't want you to take too much time too. Here's,
here's why one of the cool things about an email business is that it's very
quick to start. It's not a lot of it resources, a lot of work to build one. So
feel free to make a mistake. It's okay. But if you go through the process
that the Lurn team is going to now take you to our coaching team is going
to take you through.

We're going to shake off 85% of the mistakes you could make, anyway.
That's the power of being a part of this community. And then you're
going to get a list down of like, okay, these are my three or four choices,
but I don't want you to get, I don't want you to get paralyzed on that list.
I don't want you to sit around for two, three, four weeks just staring at it.
I want you to pick one. Let's go with it. And you know what? Let's focus
on it. Let's devote to it. Just like we talked about in video one, the power
of focus and hey, you know what, in a few weeks, if we really don't like it
and it's not working, we'll switch. Guys, it took me 18 months before I
finally started to make money online, all right. If we can help you do it in
one or two months, that's a huge win.

So it's all right if it takes a little bit and it's all right if you end up making a
small mistake, but we want to make sure you get the niche, right? So the
rest of this module is about picking the right niche. We're going to
analyze how we do that, what we do, what niches have money, what
niches drive a lot of retention, what niches drive long-term retention. So
that a subscriber to you today is worth that much more money to you 10,
you know, I hope they're still with you 10 years down the road. By the
way, I have lists where people have been with me for 15 years. That
means I am making money from them for 15 years. That's awesome and I
want that for you. All right. And that's what my team and I are going to
help you do now over the rest of this program.

So what do I always say? When life pushes you stand straight, smile, and
push it the heck back. Devote yourself, focus, get through this module.
I'm really proud of you. If we could support you in any way, you know
how to get ahold of us. All right, dive in deep. And Hey, if you need a lot
more hands-on support from us and you want to find out about some of
our amazing coaching programs right below the video, there should be a
link. Otherwise, you can message us at support@lurn.com and we'll help
