- Set value : set the value that is made.
- Add value : to add the value that is needed.
- Copy to TPS : to copy the parameter value to certain TPS.
- Copy ALL : to copy parameter value to TPS starting from 2% to 100%.
- Set as Base MAP : set the corrected fuel value as the Base Map. so that the Vase map will auto-correct
so, the value of fuel will be zero.

5. MOTOR TUNING

>> Injection bike tuning is best when done on a Dynamometer machine (Dynotest) to get an accurate result.

>> Tuning can also be done manually, with a few helping equipment.
>> Before tuning, we have to understand the condition and parameter that have to be set as below :

>> Tuning is done every opeing of throttle from 2% to 100% TPS.
>> Tuning is done starting from TPS 100%.

Picture 60 : Cam Timing Graph

INTAKE DURATION FORMULA

NOTE : B = Valve opens before TDC

Intake Duration (DI) = B + 180 + T
T = Valve closes after BDC

EXAMPLE :

>> Valve opens 35o before TDC

Intake Duration = 35o + 180o + 60o = 270o
>> Valve closes 60o after BDC

INJECTION INTAKE STEP FORMULA

166.7 x DURASI ISAP

PERIOD = machine is at 10.000 RPM for example
RPM

166.67 x 270
Period = = 4.50 ms
10.000

>> On 10.000 rpm, the maximum duration of injection would be 4,5ms (Base Map)
>> If the base map value is more than 4.5ms, then it is recommended to change the injector to bigger size or double injector
>> This application is best to be used on Cam shaft that have high overlaps more than 2.5mm and more than 10.000 rpm.

>> This condition is would be better to use the injector timing minimally on 360o.

Injection parts function:

A. FUEL PUMP
to pump fuel from the tank to the injector nozzle. this pump is equipped with regulator that limits the pressure to 300KPa

B. INJECTOR
Sprays fuel to the intake, the amount are then controlled by the pulse from the ECU.

Picture 63 : BRT Throttle body with 30mm diameter.

>> TPS sensor functions to determine the throttle opening position, then the voltage signal (0 s/d 5V) will be send to ECU.
throttle opening position will be determined by the ECU in percentage (%)
>> TPS censor is Variable Reluctance (Potensiometer) that is move magnetically and have insolated shape so it does not
need maintenance and its water proof.

D. PULSE SENSOR (VARIABLE RELUCTANCE) AND TRIGGER

>> Pulse sensor is to determine the position of Crankshaft in the value of angle.
>> Pulse sensor have 2 types that is,:

Picture 66: MAP Censor

>> Measuring the pressure on intake manifold, MAP sensor results in a signal output that would then be send to the ECU.

>> MAP Censor will only work if there is a pressure between the intake and outside air.

>> MAP censor will only work on the intake step, caused by the difference in intake pressure and the outside air.

>> Because of that MAP is used by the ECU to mark the intake step and used as a reference signal for ECU calibration.

G. IAT (INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE)

>> IAT Censor functions to measure the air temperature that enters from the intake or throttle body.
>> The air temperature that enters can determine the air altitude from the sea surface.

>> if we are at the mountains/high grounds, then the air temperature that will enter would be low/cold, so ECU will correct
the FUEL value to become less.
>> if we are at the sea side/ lower grounds, then the air temperature that will enter would be high/hot, so ECU will correct
the FUEL value to become more.
