TASK: ASSIGNMENT - A JOB INTERVIEW

INTRODUCTION

In this conversation we talk about demanding jobs in a job interview. About the roles
each one will play, “XYZ” is an interviewer and I’m the job offer in advertising
department.

CONVERSATION

X: Hello Karla, Tell Me About Yourself.

Y: I've been working as an assistant at advertising department at an Italian restaurant

for 2 years and my duties included assisting the head advertising department. I have
always been interested advertising which was why I chose to follow this career path. I
studied at "Technological University of Peru".

X: The assistant at advertising department has to be proactive and with good

communicative skills. What are your strengths?

Y: I’m a punctual person. I always arrive early and complete my work on time. My
previous job had a lot of deadlines and I made sure that I was organized and adhered
to all my jobs. Ass well when I work, I always take initiative. If I see something that
needs doing, I don’t wait for instruction, I do it. Finally, I’m stay calm in all kinds of
situations. I think it’s really important to be able to stay calm when you’re working under
pressure.

X: Can you work on weekends? 

Y: Yes, I can work. At my previous job, we attended every day. We had one day off a
week between Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
And, do I have to travel?

X: In the advertising department, you have to take some trips eventually to create
content for the company and our partners.
If you can travel? or is there a problem?
Y: Yes, I can. No problem.

X: Lastly.
Do you agree with the monthly payment?

Y: Yes, I agree with the salary they offer me.

X: Ok. In case of being selected, you are being called in the course of the week.
