Tell me about yourself :

I'm ___________ I'm _______ years old and I graduated from ________________. I also
participated in an exchange programme in Shanghai. I'm very adept at adjusting to any
environment and have been exposed to many cultures since a young age – For example, icultural
person I was born in France, grew up in Tunisia, and then studied in France and Shanghai.
I have 8 years of experience in auditing and advisory services in the financial sector.

How would you describe yourself / Strength:

I am proactive, organised and a team player. Furthermore, I multi-task easily and
have been praised for my excellent interpersonal skills.

Weakness:
I have worked in various financial sectors ( including retail banking, insurance, investment
banking) . The only weakness I can think of is that I am a perfectionist and thus, very hard on
myself to excel at everything I do – I sometimes have to be reminded to slow down.
I have not spent time in one specific sector long enough to have specialised on the level that I
would like. However, I pride myself in always lbeing willing to learn and grow. I always prepare
for any task at hand so if I should work for this company, I would ensure that I do the necessary
due diligence to ensure that I train up and do my research to ensure that I am well equipped to
deal with a clearing house environment and the related the specialized financial sectors.

What are you hobbies:

I love travelling and have visited many countries around the world. (don’t specify unless
they ask you to) I went on Safari in Tanzania in 2017 which I enjoyed tremendously. I enjoy
keeping fit and participating in various sports such as boxing and weightlifting. I find it helps me
destress and release any tension.
What do you do in your free time:
I play with my daughter, gym, cook and meet up with friends.
Why are you interested in working for our company:
This company is the European leader in clearing serving major exchanges and platforms as well
as a range of OTC markets. I' have been a contractor at this company since September, so I
understand the culture of the company. _name of company______ offers a positive working
environment where where all people are part of a team and feel valued and able to perform at
their best. My boss Julien oversees the development of his employees' skills and it's been a
pleasure pleasant to work closely with him.
Why do you think you are suited for this role:
I have been working in this position for more than 9 months. This means that I am already
aware of the main objectives and issues – I also already know the team very well. This can only
be an asset to this company as I won’t have the usual teething issues that accompanies a new
hire and no time will be wasted on an induction period as I can work immediately.
I feel the fact that I have such a diverse background means that I have acquired a wider range of
skills and am able to look at the entire scope of a project from various frame of references. For
example, my auditing background has developed my analytical mind and my attention to details,
whereas my advisory roles have developed my ability to adapt to different environments. These
are skills that are invaluable in the job role I am applying for.

What aspect of the position are you most interested in: I will work with different key personelle
from various departments. I will be able to work in several areas of risk management. (strategic,
operational, regulatory...). It's the continuity of my consulting mission that makes this position
most attractive. In this position, I would have the chance to work with top management which can
only be inspiring and stimulating. This aligns with my philosophy of lifelong learning and
development.
Do you think you could develop the position: Yes of course, I will work on improving and
enhancing existing KPI reports ( for example I improved the ERM report with focus slides
summarizing the most important changes quarter to quarter)
I will improve the flow of risk monitoring and control process via ad-hoc statistics (100%
excellent :-) )
I will create a timeline of all key forum and committees milestones and I will maintain it.

What do you gain by working in your last job: I developed my sense of detail, my ability to adapt
to different situations, and how to learn and be efficient in a post very quickly.

Why do you want to leave your job: I am currently occupying this position as a consultant, so
when Julien proposed to me to join the risk team I was excited to accept his offer because I
appreciate the culture of the company. Besides, I think I am ready to commit to a company whose
culture and missions align with my own career path and values.I will finally have the ability to lay
my roots somewhere and add value to a company and see my contribution in action without
having to move on to the next company.

Objective of the department:

Ensure an adequate framework of permanent controls is well established

Goals of the department:

Align with the board's risk appetite in the several projects of the CCP
Align with market best practice
Develop and own the risk Framework

Encountered difficulties:
I worked with stakeholders from different departments, so I have to ask them to provide me with
information and updates on their perimeter. It may be secondary for them but primary for me
because I have to meet the deadlines. So I have to get the information with reminders without
disturbing them or being too insistent.
I'm the interface between the Team and the boss, they can tell me about their disagreement. I
have to respond tactfully and raise the point to Julien --> communicate the alert bottom-up and
top-down.

Have you encountered a difficult situation with your manager:

Give me a minute to think, a manager of one of my posts gave me a lot of work to do with tight
deadlines. Although I prioritized the actions with the most important priority, he would just add
more and more to my task list until eventually I was doing most of his tasks too. I organized a
meeting with him and presented a timeline with the different milestones of all the tasks he asked
me to do. Finally, after this meeting, we agreed that he would recruit some extra supportto help
me.

Questions :
Do you offer any training opportunities?
I'm interested to know whether there will be opportunities outside of work-related events to
network and socialize with other departments?
