topic?
Very good

Will you please state the parts of business letter The student will give the answer.
accordingly?
Okay very good!

Class, we have learned about propaganda in our Yes ma’am.

previous lesson right?

Now class we will discuss the factors that

determine the success or failure of a particular
piece of propaganda.

So the first factor is Target audience.

Will you please read?
The student will read the definition.
Okay thank you.
People or consumers
What do we mean by target audience? Another
term for target audience?

Exactly.

Target audience
- refers to people or consumers. The one who
purchase the product.

It says here, “it is a known fact that you cannot

try to reach everyone with the message.”
Yes.
Do you agree with this statement?
Why? Student will explain why.

Of course yes! It is a fact that you cannot

persuade everyone with just only one message,
right class?
And how can you convince someone if you are
not having enough information regarding to that
certain product. And also class, always
remember that people have different taste and
preferences. You, as an individual you have your
own tastes or likes right? Let’s have this
example.
Kyla is selling a beauty products and she
persuade Ayhen to buy those beauty products,
but unfortunately Ayhen has no interest in using
beauty products because that is out of her taste
or maybe she just wants to be simple and
natural. So in the end, Kyla didn't convince
Ayhen to buy her products.
So class, if you are a company selling a
particular product you must always consider one
of this factors which is your target audience
because this is the key for your success.

Why do you think target audience is very Student will give their answers.
important in propaganda?

Yes, it is very important because target audience

or the consumers are the one who will make
your money. They are the one who will give you
success.

Are we clear class? Yes ma’am

Is there any questions or clarifications? Yes/none ma’am

Let’s have the second factor.

Will you please read?

Messenger
- Anyone can deliver a message but not
everyone can sell that message.

Do you agree with this statement? Yes

Will you please explain? Student will explain the statement
This is true, right?
Everybody has an ability to deliver a message,
right?
Majority of us can talk except for those who
have a disability.
Even though they don’t have the ability to talk
but they know how to write.
Everybody has its own way on how to deliver a
message.
But not everyone can sell that message.
Meaning to say, you just only know how to talk
but your message is not "Benta, Patok or Havey"
to your target audience.
Are we clear? Yes ma’am
So here in messenger, they used or hire actors or
actress to promote their products & services
which is very common, right? Yes

We usually persuade to buy a certain product

because we think that our favourite actor or
actresses are using it.

Is that clear class? Yes ma’am

Any questions? Students will ask a questions/ none

Let’s now move to the next factor.

Medium
- Mode of sending the message.
When we say medium it is a way of sending the
message of a particular product so it has
something to do with the advertisements the we
usually hear , read or saw in Television, radio,
newspaper and even in the social network
.
If our target audience, let say older people we
can send our message through radio/newspaper.
But if our target audience is teen, adult or the
young ones the best medium is the social
network. We can create pop up ads.

Let’s have the last factor.

Follow up
- This simply refers to the next stage of
the campaign.
- Making sure that your message has an
element of recall to the target audience.
So this is not the end of your campaign you have
to put it on the next line.
How can you be successful if you stop here
already? Am I right? You have to think a better
way on how to make your advertisement more
convincing.
This can be useful if you have a competitors
example of this is those advertisements that we
usually watched in television same kind of
product but different brand.
As I have said if you want to be successful think
a better way on how to create your
advertisement more convincing.

Are we clear class? Yes ma’am

Do you have any clarifications? Yes/none ma’am
Are you sure? Yes ma’am

Generalization Target audience, messenger, medium, follow

Okay, if you don’t have any questions, will you up
please state the four factors that determine the
failure or success of a particular piece of
propaganda?
IV. Evaluation
