A ) Read the passage below. Then, fill in the table below with information from the passage.

Tunku Abdul Rahman was Malaysia’s first Prime Minister. As a child, he

studied in the famous Penang Free School. Tunku Abdul Rahman was born on the 8 th of

February 1903 in Alor Setar, Kedah. In 1920, at the age of 17, he won a scholarship to study

in Cambridge University. He served as a civil servant for many years after his graduation. In

1956, he led the ‘Merdeka Mission ‘to London. On 31 August 1957, under his great

leadership, our country was finally able to gain independence.

B ) Read the passage below.

One day, Tammy was about to eat her favourite cheese cake. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. It

was her neighbour, Suzy.

‘’Hi, Tammy! What are you doing? Are you able to play with me?” asked Suzy.

‘’Er…I am eating a slice of cheese cake at the moment,” answered Tammy.

‘’ Oh, that looks really delicious!’’ said Suzy.

Tammy looked at her cake and thought, ‘’Should I share it with Suzy? It is only a small piece. I

would really love to eat it all by myself, but, Mummy said that we should always share.’’

She took a knife and cut the cake into half. ‘’Here, Suzy. This is for you,” she said. That put a big

smile on Suzy’s face. Tammy was also happy to see that smile. It certainly felt good to share!
