Immutable Form. The ekkregon is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form

Magic Weapons. The ekkregon's attacks are magical.

Freeze in time. When a creature starts its turn within 30 ft. of the ekkregon, it must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the creature is
stunned until its next turn. If the affected creature would fall, the rate of descent slows to 0 feet per round. Otherwise, any creature that fails the save takes a −2 penalty to AC and
Dexterity saving throws, it can’t use reactions, and its speed is halved. On its turn, it can use either an action or a bonus action, not both. Regardless of the creature’s abilities or
magic items, it can’t make more than one melee or ranged attack during its turn.

Actions
Multiattack. The ekkregon makes two slam attacks and three swinging pendulum attacks.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack +10 to hit, reach 5ft., one target.
Hit: 19 (3d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage

Swinging Pendulum. Melee Weapon Attack +6 to hit, reach 15ft., one target.
Hit: 10 (3d6) bludgeoning damage

The Bell Tolls for Thee (Recharge 5-6). The ekkregon targets one creature it can see within 10 ft. it must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw. On failed save, the creature is
stunned and if it would fall, the rate of descent slows to 0 feet per round. The creature is stunned until the creature is freed by the Greater Restoration spell or other magic.

Reactions
Stop Missile. The ekkregon stops a ranged weapon or spell attack in midair, which stays suspended until the ekkregon dies.

The clock is always ticking, and it stops for no one. If you are foolish, you will stop for the clock. Mages who become increasingly paranoid of death but cannot evade it slowly
begin to fear the clock. Each tick becomes a harbinger of fear and madness. Eventually, the twisted mind performs foul experiments on others in order to stop the clock for
themselves, and an ekkregon is born.
The brass abomination stands in a large humanoid frame. The frame typically mimics the image of a woman, though reports of other
variations have been noted. The head is always untarnished with circular plates fixed to each of the four sides. It has several metal weights swinging from the head along
writhing metal cords. Regardless of the length of the chord, each chord swings back to strike one of the four head plates in unison every other second.

Suggested Environments
The liar an ekkregon resides in is malformed by its mastery over time. Being made by a wizard, a traditional mage's tower trapped in time would suit an ekkregon well. An ekkregon
is fearful of destruction and decay to a point of madness. A shattered teapot may be floating in midair, with the tea being hot as it was when it was shattered years ago. Dust kicked
up by the ekkregon may never settle to the ground.
