TDA2003 STEREO BRIDGED AMPLIFIER
The TDA2003 Stereo Bridged Amplifier is a low-cost audio chip amplifier that can put out some really
nice sounds. It’s typically used for car audio amplifiers, but it also works great as a bedroom amp or
anywhere else you need good audio without tons of power.
A simple low power TDA003 stereo bridged amplifier circuit based on TDA 2003 is shown here. The circuit
uses cheap, readily available components and it is very easy to construct. TDA2003 is an integrated
amplifier that has a lot of good features like short circuit protection for all pins, thermal over range low
harmonic distortion, low cross over distortion etc.

In the circuit given here each TDA2003 is wired as a stereo bridged amplifier operating from a 12V supply.
Resistors R2 and R3 forms a feedback network that sets the amplifiers gain. C7 is the input DC de-coupling
capacitor and C5 couples the speaker to the amplifiers output. C4 is used for improving the ripple
rejection while C1 and C2 are employed for power supply filtering. C3 and R1 are used for setting the
upper frequency cut-off. Network comprising of C6 and R4 is used for frequency stabilization and to
prevent oscillation.

Development Procedure

⚫ First, know or make a draft of what project do you want to make, then by using an EDA Sofware (EasyEDA) to
design the schematic.
Next, I designed the PCB using the schematic I made early.

And then, I gathered the required components of the following project from electronics store nearby.

QTY
Then, using a permanent marker and draw the PCB layout from the EDA to my DIY PCB I made myself. And then, I
used 2 bottles of acrylic liquid and soaked my DIY PCB board I made to make a copper line. After that, drilled the
spot where my components will be placed, then I place all the components to my DIY PCB Board, then I soldered
all the components together to my DIY PCB board.
After that, I use some Audio Jack Input Ports to Auxilliary Jack Cable to input sound and soldered it to PCB Board.
soldered the Left and Right Speaker ouput wire.
Then, I didn’t use battery I direct plug it to the AC outlet. Using my previous project, Adjustable Power Supply, I
set it to 12VDC and connect to its positive and negative input source using clamp wire.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

In this project I learned how to properly the stereo bridge amplifier circuit and how to etch, place & solder
components properly and We learned that how to troubleshoot it when an error happens like, short circuit, wrong
polarity, etc... and the most important it help us to be a critical thinker and enhanced our analytical skills.
