1 Introduction
No. 1 sample was sent with commercial invoice dated 04/09/2017.

2 Aim
Qualification of weld coupon according to SAIPEM SPC.CR.UR.510 Rev.04 specification.

3 Activity Plan
It was required to carry out:
1. Photographic documentation
2. Macrographic examination
3. Preliminary metallographic examination to verify the absence of sigma phase,
intergranular or intragranular compounds or phases and other than austenitic phase and
evaluation of microstructure
4. Corrosion test on no.2 samples (sample S5-a and sample S5-b)1
5. Metallographic examination to verify maximum depth of attack on metallographic
sections after corrosion test
6. Measurement of  ferrite content, with Fisher feritscope MP30

6.3 Metallographic examination


The metallographic examination has shown:
• Absence of intergranular or intragranular compounds or phases and other than
austenitic phase
• Fully austenitic structure
• Absence of sigma phase

6.6 Ferrite content

The result of the magnetic inductive test shows a ferritic phase content  0.1% in base
material, HAZ and weld metal.
(Acceptance: 1%)

7 Conclusions
All the examinations carried out on the tested sample are in compliance with SAIPEM
SPC.CR.UR.510 Rev.04 Specification.

9 Reference documents
All the test methods, as below described, were performed in accordance with SAIPEM
SPC.CR.UR.510 Rev.04 Specification

• ASTM A262-15 Pr.C: resistance to intergranular attack with determination of corrosion


rates for each cycle and for the overall periods.
• ASTM A262-15 Pr.A: classification of etch structures of austenitic stainless steel.
• ASTM E3-01 and ASTM E407-07 for metallographic preparation and etching.
• ASTM E3-11 and ASTM E340-00 (2006) for macrographic preparation and etching.

Test results reported are related only to the results of checks carried out on samples arriving on 08/09/2017

Any false, fictitious or fraudolent statement and any modification of this certificate is a felony and may be punished under the current
penal laws.

The Customer shall be responsible for taking the statistical samples from the material.

The different parts of the samples will be kept for one year; after which they will be scrapped.
