- THE LEGISLATION THAT CAN BE INITIATED TO REDUCE VIOLENCE
AGAINST WOMEN IS THE CONSTITUTION AND THE PROVISION OF THE
UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS, THIS COULD BE
STRENGTHENED IF WE COULD ELECT A PARTYLIST THAT FOCUSES ON THE
RIGHTS OF WOMEN SO THAT THEY COULD SUBMIT APPEAL TO
STRENGTHENED THE RIGHT OF WOMEN IN OUR INSTITUTION.

2. Religious institutions and the state play a major role in defining sexual behavior. Should these

- YES, BACAUSE CHURCH IS RESPONSIBLE IN PROPAGATING EARLY SEXIST
IDEAS. CHURCH EDUCATES YOUTH AND PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT SEX
AND PROBABLY BY HAVING AA KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SEX, THEY COULD
AVOID ONE OF THE PROBLEM OF THE GOVERNMENT NOWADAYS, THE
TEENAGE PREGNANCY.
3. Do people in a relationship have a right to claim their partner as sexual property, i.e., does a
relationship give exclusive rights to a partner’s sexual activity?
- NO, BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE COULD CLAIM THE SEXUAL PROPERTY OF AN
INDIVIDUAL NOT UNLESS ITSELF. NO LAWS THAT STATES OR PROVES
THAT ONCE AN INDIVIDUAL IS MARRIED HE OR SHE IS CAPABLE TO CLAIM
HIS/ HER PARTNERS SEXUAL PROPERTY.

4. Suppose you lived in a society with very little gender stereotyping, where women and men
had equal opportunities in jobs and education and similar sexual expectations. Would
prostitution exist in a such a society? Why or why not? Would violence against women exist?
Why or why not?
- NO IT WOULD NOT PROBABLY EXIST, BECAUSE GENDER EQUALITY
HELPS PREVENT VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS, AND IT
MAKES OUR COMMUNITIES SAFER AND HEALTHIER. IT IS A HUMAN
RIGHT AND IT IS GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY.
5. What is Gender and Society? Explain.
- GENDER IS A SOCIAL CONCEPT AND REFERS TO THE SOCIAL AND
CULTURAL DIFFERENCES ASSIGNS TO PEOPLE BASED ON THEIR SEX.
