PUFF-CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATE

USER’S MANUAL
USER MANUAL FOR PUFF-CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATE

This document describes how users start PUFF-Construction Estimate in

Microsoft Access and how this is application can be used in estimating construction

materials in concreting, masonry, tile works and paintworks.

. This manual contains instructions for Puff-Construction Estimate application

About the Application

PUFF-Construction Estimate is an application that could estimate the concreting

works on the footing, wall footing, beams, columns and stairs. The application could

also estimate masonry works, tile works and paintworks. The PUFF-Construction

Estimate Application powered by Microsoft Access could guarantee the users to give

accurate results to ease the stress and time consumption of manual estimating.

General Instructions

As noted by test person surveyed, the application itself is intuitive.

A little explanation is presented to the users on how to start the application.

Starting the PUFF-Construction Estimate Application

1. Open the application “Puff –Estimate for Construction”.

2. Input username, select on the combo box located beside the box of the

username.

3. Input the password “031019” select log in to fully access the

application.
4. Input the following data needed to print and save all the record and

proceed to next page.

 Name of Estimator

 Name of Project

 Location of Project

 Total Land Area

 Type of work

5. After clicking the next button, concreting works would appear. Under

the concreting works they are 6 works intended to estimate the # of

cement, volume of the sand and volume of the gravel which could be

located on the combo box beside the “CONCRETING” box. In order to

access the estimation process, estimator needs to input the following

data to get the accurate result of their estimate.

 Length

 Width

 Thickness

 Quantity

After inputting all the data’s, you could save your records, add

another record or proceed to the next button

6. After clicking the next button, Masonry Works would appear. In order

to estimate the Masonry works, Input the following data.

 Height
 Length

After inputting the data, # of CHB, cement and sand would appear.

You could save the all data, add another record or print based on the

user’s desire.

7. Tile works was the third work of this application wherein it can estimate

the number of tiles, including the cement mortar, cement and its

adhesive. In order to estimate the said materials mentioned above,

Input the following.

 Length of tiles in meters

 Width of tiles in meters

 Length of ground floor in meters

 Width of the ground floor in meters

After inputting the data’s mentioned above, # of tiles, cement

mortar, cement adhesive would appear. Save, add record or print the

data’s if you wished to. Click next to proceed.

8. Paintworks were the last work to estimate in this application. In order to

estimate the liters of paint that could be used we need to input the

data’s below.

 Perimeter of the house

 Height of the house

 Length of the Window


 Width of the Window

 # of window

 Height of the door

 Width of the door

 # of doors

 # of coats

After inputting all of the data’s, save the record, print and quit the

application.
