INSTRUCTIONS OVERLEAF
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION FOR THE STUDENTS
Prior to exam
● Please affix a recent passport size photograph of yours in the space provided , ears must be clearly visible and sign
across the photo before you come to the exam centre.
● You have to sign the Hall Ticket at two other specified places in front of the Invigilator . Do not sign in these spaces
beforehand.
● Report at the examination center at least 1 hour prior to the start of the examination so that you can pass through
mandatory COVID related checks and be seated in your allocated seat sufficiently before the start of the exam . If you are
late , examination authority will not be responsible for the lost time and additional time will not be provided.
● Please check carefully beforehand the location of your exam centre. You can scan the QR code also for the same.
● Please carry the Hall Ticket for every examination session as applicable in your case .
● Please carry the photo ID (Passport / Aadhar Card / School ID with signature and official stamp) and a proof of date of
birth (Passport / Aadhar Card / Birth Certificate). Otherwise, you may be refused entry to the examination.
● Please ensure that the Office Copy of the Hall Ticket is handed over to the Invigilator before you leave the examination
hall.
● The Student Copy of this Hall Ticket must be preserved for future reference and must be presented at the time
of OCSC.
● Your 14-digit IOQ Roll Number is printed on your Hall Ticket. This Roll No. is different from your IOQ Registration ID. This
Roll Number must be written correctly and bubble-filled correctly in all relevant spaces of your IOQ OMR Sheets and
Answer Booklets.
● No student will be allowed to leave more than 30 minutes before the end of examination.However, students have the
option of leaving after the completion of IOQM Part A (IOQM), and before the start of IOQM Part B (INMO) (not appearing
for IOQM Part B (INMO) at all).
● Please carry the self-declaration form regarding Covid-19 (attached to this Hall Ticket) to the centre. You have
to sign and submit it at the centre. You have to submit the Self-Declaration form separately for every
examination session that you attend. Please refer to the accompanying sheet to understand all measures to be
strictly followed at the exam centre.
At the examination centre
● You should bring your own set of writing material including at least two blue /black ball point pens, an eraser, a ruler, etc.,
to the examination. Sharing of material among students is strictly forbidden. Use only blue/black ballpoint pens for
writing on OMR sheets and Answer Booklets.
● No computational aid or electronic equipment such as Graphing Calculators, Mobile phones, Smart-watches, Pagers, log
tables, slide rules etc. are allowed.
● Use of unfair means will result in disqualification.
● Silence and decorum must be maintained in the examination hall and its precincts.

Writing the examination


● Please read carefully all instructions on the question paper and OMR/Answer Booklet before you start writing.
● Please note that there is no scope of correction of entries in the OMR sheets. Think before you fill, and pay attention to
ensure that you are filling the correct bubble. Scratching and other attempts to change the answer will result in the
answer being invalidated.
● Incorrectly filled information about your Roll Number and other details may result in non-evaluation or disqualification.
● Please do not write or mark anything outside the designated spaces or on the reverse of the OMR sheet.
● After submission of the OMR, you may take the duplicate/carbon copy of OMR for your record.
Please refer to the undertaking to understand all measures to be strictly
followed at the exam centre
Preventive measures to contain spread of COVID-19 during conduct of Indian Olympiad Qualifier 2021-2022 examinations:

1. Thermal scanning will be done at the entry point and only asymptomatic staff and students will be allowed inside .
Examinees with body temperatures above 100 deg Fahrenheit or showing obvious COVID-19-related symptoms will not be
permitted to take the examination. Examinees suspected of possible infection will take the examination in an isolated
room. Decision to deny entry or isolate examinees on grounds of health-related concerns shall be made by the Centre
Coordinator and shall be binding.
2. Use of a face cover/mask will be mandatory. The face cover/mask has to be worn at all times inside the examination
centre by all. All support staff will wear masks and gloves.
3. Physical distancing of at least 6 feet will be insisted, as far as feasible.
4. Invigilators will sanitize their hands prior to distribution of question papers/answer sheets. The examinees will also
sanitize their hands before receiving such papers and handing them back to invigilators. Examinees are strongly advised
to bring their own sanitizer bottles.
5. Spitting will be strictly prohibited.
6. Examination hall and other common areas shall be sanitized before and after each examination session.
7. All examination centres will have a designated room for isolating any test taker, if the need arises.
8. Drinking water should be brought by the examinees themselves and should not be shared.
9. Invigilators and supervisory staff will be briefed on the code of conduct in the context of COVID -19.
10. Only those examination centers which are outside the containment zone shall be allowed to function. Examinees
scheduled to appear in centres within containment zones will be re-assigned other centres subject to regulations
governing movement of people from within containment zones
11. Examinees will have to sign a ‘self-declaration’ form, which will be sent to them along with the hall ticket. If any
examination functionary or student fails to meet the self-declaration criteria, they will be denied entry.

● I hereby declare that I am satisfied with the preventive measures adopted at the examination centre

and I will not hold the organisers of IOQ responsible for any illness that I may contract in the future.

● I take full responsibility for my well-being and agree to abide by all regulations imposed by the organisers of IOQ
at the examination centre.

● Any violation of the prescribed norms may result in my immediate expulsion from the examination centre.
