SERVING The first contact that the game is
called a serve. Serving though undervalued is the most
important part in the volleyball because it starts the game.

PASSING The player performs a pass when s/he


hits the ball around the torso level with forearms of the
straightened arms. Without this you couldn’t be able to
score against your opponent.

SETTING Is the second step of passing, and it


can be done to either dump the ball over into undefended
spot or to “set” the ball into a position that allow the
hitter to spike it over.

SPIKING It is the act of scoring a point by


slamming the ball over the net into the opposing court
effectively and aggressively.

BLOKING Deflecting the ball coming from your


opponent attacks hit. Important for securing lost against
the opponent and not to make them score.

DIGGING The first contact made after an


attacker from the other team sends the ball over to
defensive team is said to be a “dig”.
