ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION:
ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS IN OUR
SURROUNDINGS
1. Yes, because the article claims that all living tissues
have magnetic properties that are influenced to some
degree by the presence of electromagnetic radiation in
the environment.
2. When an atomic particle, such as an electron, is
accelerated by an electric field and begins to move,
electromagnetic radiation is produced. The movement
generates oscillating electric and magnetic fields that
travel at right angles to each other in the form of a
photon, a bundle of light energy.
3. According to the article, radio frequency and
microwave wavelengths can be used to transmit
information using amplitude, frequency, and phase
modulation, such as data from television, cellphones,
wireless networking, and amateur radio.

ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS IN OUR
SURROUNDINGS

4. The disadvantages of EM radiation on plant and animal

life include decreased radial growth of pine trees,
decreased density of bird and mammal species such as
storks, sparrows, and bats, effects on bees, effects on
bird magnetic-based homing mechanisms, and many other
effects.
5. As a result, I conclude that radiation can be beneficial
but also harmful to living things and the environment. All
radiation-related activities must be justified in order to
reduce their harmful effects. This simply means that
radiation must provide more benefits to living things and
the environment than it does harm, and this must be
limited as much as possible.
