My name is Videep Virat. I am 23 years old. I am from Ranchi Jharkhand, Family income is
around 5 lakhs annually, I am a student at IIM Nagpur, My family owns Maruti Suzuki Dzire

I have Maruti Suzuki Dzire
4 Is it Diesel, petrol or CNG varaint?
Petrol variant
5 Are you satisfied with the experience with your car?
Its been 6 years since my family bought this car, so it lags in many aspects now. But overall I
am pretty satisfied
6 What features made you choose this car?
Mileage, Design and other specifications of this car. Also, It was affordable as per my family
income
7 What is the purpose of buying a car?((for long/short distance travel)
Short distance travel was the main purpose. Though I have used this car for long distance
travel as well
8 do you know aynthing about Ev car or industry? Do you think it will be successful in Indian
Conditions?
Yes, I have a general understanding of the EV industry but I don’t think it would be much
successful in near future in Indian conditions because of the lack of infrastructure needed
for charging and also the cost factor. They are really expensive in general. But I feel in the
long run, EV would take over fuel-based vehicles.

No, never driven an electric car
10 What is the reason for not owning an electric car? (Cost, charging issue, mileage, after sale service)
Cost and Charging issue.
11 What do you know about the Govt. initiatives for promoting electric vehicles in India? ( Road tax
exemption, registration fees exemption)
Yes, I know about the road tax exemption. Not have any idea about registration fees
exemption
12 What further initiatives you want the Govt to take to promote the usage of Electric cars in India?
Promoting manufacturing of EV in the country itself. This might reduce cost. And build
charging stations alongside already existing refuelling stations
13 Approximiately how many charging stations are there in your locality? Is there any charging station
Under cosntruction?
I have never really seen any charging stations in my locality. Only some electric ricksaws are
present. So there might be some stations I guess. And no idea about if any station is under
constructions
14 What are the top 2 features if added will make convinced to buy an electric car
Good Mileage and comparable specifications and cost as the petrol variants
15 What will you choose between - car that requires periodic maintanance or car that requires 1 time
maintance after a period of 5 years?
I would definitely want a car that requires 1 time maintainence after a period of 5 years
16 If given opportunities, will you choose to buy electric cars in future?
Not exactly in the near future but if it provides affordability and comparable features and cost
as the already existing alternatives, I would definitely go with it in the long run.
