1)Who is Binod : Mystery cracked.

Who is Binod and why is he trending? Let us see. Binod is the first name of a person named “ Binod
thakur”. He has a YouTube channel with no videos of his own. His YouTube activity is limited to
watching videos and commenting his name “Binod” under them.

It all started when a YouTube channel by the name “Salvy Point” uploaded a video about weird
comments posted on Indian YouTube channels. d" Why Indian Comments Sectionis Garbage( BI
NOD) , "the video talked about all the bizarre comments the content creators of the channel,
Abhyudaya Mohan and Gautami Kawale, receive on their videos.

That's when they noticed a comment dropped in by a user named Binod Tharu. “Binod”, that’s what
his comment read. And what is more intresting is that that the comment received several likes.

Sensing a perfect opportunity for memes, Twitter users, putting their creative minds to work, soon
started sharing all sorts of tweets using the name as hashtag. Internet latched on it so much that from
police forces to brands , everyone joined the Binod meme bandwagon.

2) Protests erupt in Bengaluru over social media post on prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

A social media post on Prophet Muhammad led to violence in karnataka’s Bengaluru on Tuesday.
Major violence broke out in DJ Halli area after the protesters alleged that Congress MLA R Akhand
Srinivas Murthy’s kin had allegedly uploaded a derogatory post about Prophet Muhammad on his
Facebook account. A mob gathered outside his house of the congress and threw stones and torched
several vehicles.

3) Kamala Harris, First Black women & Indian American with serious shot at Vice Presidency.

On August 12, Democratic nominee for president of the United States, Joe Biden, announced he had
chosen Kamala Harris, US senator from California,as his running mate for the November 2020
presidential election.

Joe Biden in his tweet wrote “ I have great honour to announce that I have picked Kamala Harris- a
fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants - as my running mate.

Biden’s announcement came a year and half after Harris, now 55, entered what was then a wide open
race for the Democratic party’s nomination for president.

4) Dera Ballan Sect Head Writes to Modi, seeks separate Ravidassia Dalit identity.

A letter written by the head of the Dalit dominate Dera Sant Sarwan Dass Ji Sachkhand Ballan sect in
Jalandhar to Prime Minister to include a separate column of ‘Ravidassia’ in the 2021 Census for the
Scheduled Castes (SC) community in Punjab has led to social and political debate. In a letter the sect
head asks PM Modi to take “revolutionary step” to give Ravidassaia their own identity.
5)Revocation of Article 370 is invasion on Kashmiri culture (Report)

Union governments move to abrogate 370 come with certain disadvantages to the native population of
Kashmir. The region that remains free from the influence of other cultures as the people from other
states were not able to bought land in the Kashmir or claim govt jobs due to restriction provided under
Article 35A of the Indian Constitution but after revocation of both 370 and 35A, people are applying
for domicile certificates to be the residents of Kashmir. Truly the influx of new Population will
change the local culture dramatically.
