CHANGE AND DEVELOPMENT
ECONOMIC During the 19th century, the economic
situation within the Philippines rose
dramatically because of trade. hospitable
world trade and with products available in
abundance within the Philippines, the
Philippines became a significant exporter of
those products and have become known in
other parts of the globe. Through this event
there was a change from the exchange system
to the monetary economy.
POLITICAL The impact of the bourbon reforms on
liberalism on the Constitution of Cadiz. Also,
because of the concentration of people in
cities, the establishment of national
newspapers, political ideas disseminated more
quickly.
SOCIO- The middle class arrived in the 19th century,
CULTURAL making the country the primary source of
income, resulting in a technological
connectivity between the Philippines'
different islands. Railways, river boats, and
improved communications have linked the
Philippines' regional diversity. Literacy was
also seen as a decolonization weapon by
Filipinos. Some culture, religion, morals,
traditions, and customs were taken from
Spaniards, and that native Filipinos were
treated harshly as a result.
RELATION TO RIZAL’S LIFE
The import and exchange of actual
commodities enabled Rizal and his
contemporaries to conceive and
demand greater autonomy as well as
independence.
Rizal raised the unjust system, which
resulted in his works and writings in,
such as the corrupt colonial authorities
and the forced labor that existed at the
period. Through political and religious
reforms, Dr. José Rizal strived to
improve the lives of his oppressed
compatriots.
Dr. José Rizal is one of the people who
convinced us that when our skin colors
differ, we must appreciate them
because we are all the same. People
also adapt the principle of the last
Spaniard in Rizal's case, and Rizal was
aware of how the Spaniard treated his
fellow people and thus came up with
the idea of fighting for his nation.
