METHOD STATEMENT

METHOD STATEMENT FOR CONCRETE SITE MIX

1. Aim:
To carry out the site mix concrete work as per approved design mix. This method covers for
site mix concrete for grade 20N, grade 30N by using Hand Fed Concrete Mixer.

2. Methodology:
2.1 Prepare the batch box.
Prior to commencement of the site mix, batch boxes should be fabricated, measuring 400mm
x 400mm x 435mm to measure the proportion of coarse and fine aggregate, based on of 2 bag
cement (50kg with loose weight 1436kg/m3), 0.035m3. Meanwhile, water shall be fill in 45
litre. Quantity water shall be control as per approved design mix proportion.
2.2 Design Mix
Prior to commencement of work, the Design Mix shall submit for approval. (Attachment 1)
2.3 Trial Mix
Before carry out the site mix, a trial site mix approximately 1m3 of mix concrete shall be
batched based on approved design mix to required grade of concrete to check workability of
mix and compressive strength. A set six (6) 150mm concrete test cubes, 3 for testing at 7 days
and 3 for testing at 28 days will be made and tested to achieve as per required target mean
strength.
2.4 Site Mix
When trial mix are approved, site mix shall be agitated for approximately 6-8 minutes to
produce a certain quantity of mixed concrete to required grade within the mix to proportion as
per design mix attached.
Slump shall be in 25-50mm and visually checked to ensure conformance to the specification.
The result shall be documented in the inspection sheet.

4.1 FIRST AID MEASURES

Cuts & Scrapes: Stop the bleeding by applying pressure using a gauze pad or clean cloth. If
the bleeding persists after several minutes of applying pressure, get immediate medical
attention.
Keep the wound clean by washing the area with mild soap and water and removing any dirt.
Dry the area gently with a clean cloth, and cover the wound with a protective bandage.
Change the bandage at least once a
day. If the wound becomes tender to the touch and red or oozes fluid, get immediate medical
attention.
Severe Bleeding: Lay the affected person down. If possible, the person's head should be
slightly lower than the trunk of his or her body or the legs should be elevated. This position
increases blood flow to the brain. Elevate the site of bleeding, if possible to reduce the blood
flow.
Do not attempt to clean the wound.
Apply steady, firm pressure directly to the wound using a sterile bandage, a clean cloth, or
your hand. Maintain pressure until the bleeding stops, then wrap the wound with a tight
dressing and secure it with adhesive tape. Call for emergency help immediately.
Eye Injuries: For Impaled Objects, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE OBJECT.
Stabilize the impaled object by placing bulky dressings on each side of the object and then
securing the dressings together, or by placing a paper cup over the object and then securing to
the face.
For Foreign Bodies, such as dirt, sand, wood or metal chips may cause tearing. Tearing may
rid the eye of the foreign body. If the object remains in the eye, have the victim blink several
times. If the object still remains in the eye, gently flush the eye with water. Obtain medical
attention urgently.
Inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. Obtain medical attention
urgently.
