Note :
1) In order to ensure your smooth start of the intended works, you are required to comply to the Environment, Safety and Health
Requirement.
2) In the event of non compliance with the code of practice or any safety requirements requested by AEON Safety department, AEON
Safety Personel / Representative reserved the right to STOP WORK ORDER.
3) These documents shall be submitted 7 days before any physical works are carry out at AEON premises.
4) Worker namelist that using contractor letter head can be accepted but must attached together with AEON Working Permit.
5) Column acknowledgement in Safety instruction must be signed by applicant to acknowledge their understanding of AEON
Safety Instruction.

SAFETY INSTRUCTION FOR RENOVATION WORKS (AEON COMPANY (M) BHD)

WORKER'S REGISTRATION
1. All application for workers registration must use Contractor's Work Permit Form and get approval from Shopping Centre / Store Manager.
Only approved contractors / workers are allowed to enter the renovation site.
2. workers must have valid work permit (Approved by Malaysian Government) to work in AEON Premises.
3. Workers (who already approved) must get the contractor's pass at security counter (staff entrance). Leave their identity card /
license / passport for the pass. Only workers who equipped with proper protective equipment (safety Shoes, Helmet, and etc.)
will be allowed to enter.
4. Security will record all worker's name and their details in the Supplier / Contractor Log Book. Security also will refer to the name
list in the contractor's work permit before allowing them to enter AEON Premises.
5. Security will check all item and material at entrance while in/out from the building to prevent any illegal act.
6. Maintenance Staff will supervise periodically all work especially electrical and machinery works.
7. All vehicle must park at designated and safe location.
GENERAL SAFETY
1 Workers are restricted to walk around in the shopping area, they must be at designated working area .
2 All area are "NON SMOKING" area except designated smoking area.
3 Please report to Security immediately if there are any gas leakage. Leave working area and wait until the investigation end.
4 If there are any Chemical, oil or water spillages, clean it immediately.
5 No material or machinery are allowed to locate at passageway or under Roller Shutter zone.
6 Working area must be isolated (lock, fence or barricade) from customer or other persons especially while working at open
area and passageway.
7 Proper safety signage must be displayed to ensure other persons aware on the location and other hazards.
8 Workers need to ensure their own and other persons safety while working.
9 Scaffolding erection & usage must follow safety requirement.(material condition, workers qualification,Personal Protective
Equipment)
10 ANY INCIDENT OR ACCIDENT SHOULD REPORT TO MANAGEMENT REPRESENTATIVE IMMEDIATELY

ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL SAFETY


1 Make sure all Electrical Distributor Box (DB) connection is safe and done by qualified electrician.No Illegal connection is
allowed.
2 Multi Socket Adaptors are strictly prohibited to use.
3 Kiosk wiring or additional wiring with circuit breaker must get approval and checked by chargeman.
4 Make sure all machinery and electrical tools are in good condition. All connection and wiring must in proper and safe condition.

5 For machinery which need the Certificate for Operator and Certificate of Fitness, make sure that certificate still valid. Example:
crane, sky lift (PMA & Operator), Gondola (PMA) and Compressor (PMT).
6 Only competent or trained person can operate such machine.

FIRE SAFETY
1 Fire Extinguisher must available at designated location and easy to see. Do not block or misuse all fire fighting equipment such
as Fire extinguisher and hose reel.
2 Any types of combustible material such as petrol, diesel, kerosene or thinner are prohibited to stored in the premises. Approval
from security is needed to bring that item into the premises.
3 Do not block all fire escape route and fire escape door.
4 Keep work area in clean and tidy at all time. Do housekeeping after finished the work.
5 Must have proper Renovation's waste disposal system.
6 Welding or steel cutting works are prohibited inside the building (if possible). Make sure the location is safe and free from
combustible material. Cylinder gas must in upright position and in safe condition (include the hose).

ASSEMBLY AREA
1 Assembly area for emergency is at designated at open parking.
2 Name list in Log Book must be updated, worker's leader need to acknowledge to security if their workers not at site.
3 In case of emergency, do not panic but leave as speedily and orderly as possible through the nearest fire exit,
which is not affected by smoke. Assemble at the ‘Designated Assembly Area’ for a head count.
