Operating Plan

1. The location of my business is:

- 114 Maginhawa Street, Teachers Village East, Quezon City.

2. My hours of operation will be:

- 6:00 am - 9:00 pm
We decided to make our opening and closing time at this time simply
because since most of our customers will be students, and the school time
mostly starts at 7:00 am in the morning, the students who want to have
snacks and do some backlogs before going to school, our shop will be a
perfect place to go. As well as, we decided to close at 9:00 pm since students
are out at 7 ish in the evening, so if they want to eat with their friends before
going home or maybe they have some things to discuss first while having
snacks too, our place is also a good location to be in.

- First responsibility we should have as a partnership is to make sure that the


company is doing well in the sense of financial stability. Make sure to have
no debt, but if ever there is then pay it at the corresponding maturity date.

5. The equipment/furniture/fixtures I need for my business would include:

- Espresso Machine. It brewed coffee by forcing pressurized water near boiling


point through a “puck” of ground coffee and a filter in order to produce a thick,
contracted coffee called espresso.
- Espresso Grinder. To allow high volume accounts to pre-grind coffee allowing
them to make it through a rush.

- Coffee Brewers. Used to brew coffee.

- Frappe and Smoothie Blender. An iced beverage that has been shaken,
blended or beaten to produce a tasty, foamy, and refreshing drink.
- Iced Tea Brewers and Iced Tea Dispenser. It will allow tea to brew directly
into them.

- Hot Water Dispenser. Which keeps hot in a tank uses the energy needed to
heat the water to the required temperature.

- Cooking Equipment. Used for food preparation.


- Reach-In Refrigerator. This is made to keep the interior cool even when the

doors are opened repeatedly.

- Undercounter or Worktop Refrigerator. It is made with both refrigerated


storage and a space-saving feature.
- Ice Machine. It is dedicated to making a large amount of ice.

- Display Case. Used to display objects for viewing.


- 3 Compartment Sink. To wash, rinse, and sanitize.
- Commercial Dishwasher. This will be able to wash large quantities in a short
amount of time.

- Frothing Pitchers. Used to manual milk frothing to make coffee drinks like
lattes and cappuccino.
- Knock Boxes. Device used to store spent espresso grounds, called a puck.

- Measuring Cups and Spoons. It is used for measuring ingredients with


precision when cooking and baking.
- Syrup Pumps. It is to dispense a consistent amount of flavoring sauce.

- Frothing Thermometers. It is for measuring the temperature of frothed milk,


milk and other liquids.
- Timers. It is used for measuring specific time intervals.

- Coffee Mugs and Tea Cups. It is used for drinking.


- Espresso Cups. It is used as a double shot for customers who need an extra

caffeine boost.

- Dinnerware. Used to set a table, serve and display food.


- Sugar Pourers. This serves as the perfect tabletop accompaniment.

- Creamers. Used to lighten and sweeten blac coffee, espresso or tea.


- Condiments Organizers. This will help to give you more counter space in your

coffee.

- Cups, Lids and Straw Organizer. This will organize and provide easy access
with cup, lid and straw.
- Coffee and Beverage Labeling. It has the name of the products, weight,

ingredients and many more that is about labeling.

- Aprons. Prevents your clothes from coming in contact with the food.
- LED Signs. Keep pace with changing situations, weather conditions, etc. It

allows you to customize your advertising message for your target audience.

- Paper Cups and Lids. It is useful for to-go orders because you can cover the
drinks to prevent spills.
- Plastics Cups and Lids. Used for gatherings where it would be inconvenient

to wash dishes afterward.

- Custom Coffee Sleeves. It can pizzazz and charm to your product, you can
put print on it.
- Straws and Stirrers. It is intended to carry the contents of a beverage to one’s

mouth.

- Napkins. They’re meant to wipe food and drink from the mouth.
- Coffee Filter. This enables them to trap the coffee grounds and allow the

liquid coffee to flow through.

- Take-out Cup Carriers. This provides a safe way to carry everything you
need to your seat in one easy trip.
- Coffee to go boxes. It comes with exciting features such as easy handling

preparation for use.

- Plastic Flatware. Make life easier on business, who instead of having a host
of metal forks, spoons and knives, can simply ask customers to discard their
cutlery once they’re done eating.
- Book and bookshelf. Books to read by the customers, and a shelf as a
storage of books.

- Coffee Equipment Cleaning. In here there is Coffee equipment cleaner and


coffee pot cleaner. For cleaning purposes.
- Trash Can. For trashs and waste.

- Cupcakes and cakes kit. For decorating and baking.

6. If I need to hire new employees, I will need to hire for these new positions:

- Barista - the one who operate the coffee making


- Cashier - the one handling the payments of customers
- Manager - the one administering all on behalf of us, addressing every
problem if there is and we’re not around.

7. I will provide the following benefits to my employees:

- After posting that our business is hiring, all the applicants will be interviewed
one-on-one and we’ll read their resume. Do some background checks and
then 1 week training, if they can fulfill their job properly at that specific
position they’re applying for, then they are hired. We’ll also look if they have
hospitality and patience.

9. My suppliers and vendors are:

- Mokaflor Roasting Company. Since this company supplies high quality


coffees from all over the world. Since our business has international products,
this company is a good supplier. As well as the bakels group, because this
supplier has international and high quality products.

1. The owners of my company are:

Partnership – Zenina Bituin, Janah Mariel Jorge, Joross Babaran and Hershey Kyla De
Guzman.

Our attorney in our coffee shop will be Joan Roshen M. Duñas of Ocampo Manalo Valdez
and Lim law firm. We choose her because she earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce
with a major in Legal Management from De La Salle University in 2009 and one of the best
attorney in their firm. We also choose Ocampo Manalo Valdez and Lim law firm because
They're most recognized for its law firm, which is regarded as one of the best in the industry.
The firm maintains an outstanding array of clients, both domestically and internationally. It
helps businesses all over the value chain, and it's known for its "expertise," "practical
experience," and ability to create "tailored solutions."

3. My accountant is:

Our account in our coffee shop will be Hannah Joy Obiano of SGV & Co. accountant firm.
We choose her because she’s a certified Public Accountant with about 7 years of
experience in financial accounting, auditing, and taxation and worked in a range of
industries. We choose SGV & Co. firm because they is ranked No. 1 in the Philippines as
the best accounting and auditing firm and they have a long history of serving a number of
well-known brands and corporations around the country. They provide professional services
such as assurance, tax, advisory, and transaction advisory services through their skilled
professionals, state-of-the-art facilities, and trusted international network.

5. The strengths of my business are (internal characteristics):

In our strength we have Strong employee attitudes, Excellent customer


service, Marketing strategy, Creative ideas, and also the Great Ambiance of
our place. In our strong employee attitudes, we priorities our good attitudes
and personality towards in our customers to give them a positive aura around
them and our employee are very well trained and we choose them for the
reason that we see their potential that's suit's for our business that's why we
hired them as the employee of our organization. The second one is the
excellent customer service in this kind of strength we serve our customers
and we provide our customers what they need, we serve them with a smile on
our faces to spread the positive vibes, we asked them what they need and we
answer and provide it quickly as soon as we can and that's why we have
excellent customer service. The third one is our Marketing strategy, we use
this as a strength for the reason that our marketing strategy is more effective
than the other businesses we use different types of strategies and the one
example here is like we use online platform and this will influence the many
people to try our selling products and give them a satisfaction. The second to
the last in our strength is the Creative ideas, our team are very creative when
it comes to our business they are like giving our business amazing day and
make it profitable all of our employees are very creative because we have
different aspects to lead our business and make a higher income. The last
one is the Great ambiance of our place, we can use this our strength for the
reason that it has a very cozy place that everyone can use to chill or to study
to give them a peaceful environment so that we have different kind of design
in our shop unlike to the others shop.
6. The weaknesses of my business are (internal characteristics):

In our weaknesses we're new to industry, Financial support, Not expanding as fast, No
experience and the last one is the Organizational. In the first one, since we are new to
industry our business are not that famous or many people didn't know our new
established business so that we should fulfill this kind of our weaknesses. The second
one is the Financial, we don't have any big money left for us since we spend it to
establish our new build business it means that we need to sell our products to make an
income and make our business profitability and give our staff salary, buy more raw
materials for our products and more that's why we need more financial support. The
Not expanding as fast is also our weakness for the reason that our business are not
that known by many people so we need to fulfill this to expand more our marketing
services and products, and since we are in pandemic many people or students can't
go to our store so that it can't easily to expand our business. The second to the last
one is the No experience, since we are new established business we have no
experience in operating our business as a start up so we need a guide to handle our
business and make it profitable. The last one is the Organizational, in this weaknesses
we need to train our new staff for the operation so that they can handle their jobs and
do it perfectly, since we are start up business we also need to gain more experience
just to guide them and teach them how to do it.

7. I see the following opportunities for my business (external characteristics):

In our opportunities we have Grow customer loyalty, Add more product line extensions,
Demand for home delivery services, Attract new customers through special offers,
Build stronger customer relationships. The grow customer loyalty offering rewards to
customers who continue to purchase from them, by building preference for their
products or services or by strengthening relationships, we can build this by giving our
best to our customers. The Add more product line extensions, our customers may be
craving something new or different, we need to move forward and expand our product
lines or offer additional services, and we will sure to conduct thorough research. The
Demand for home delivery services, we offer to our customers the home delivery
services for them to make less hassle to them and that it is the very speedy delivery of
a product after you have placed your order. The second to the last is we Attract new
customers through special offers, we offer them a new products to attract them and
have satisfaction on our products or we give them a discount to buy a lot in our
products consumers today are still looking for value and deals. The last one is the
Build stronger customer relationships, we communicate to our customers because it's
essential and important promoting your business and listening to your customers are
equally important we will ask them a feedback to our performance, customer feedback
helps us to provide customers’ specific needs so you can find the best solutions to
their problems. The better your offering meets their needs, the more your business will
grow.

8. I see the following threats/challenges for my business (external characteristics):

In our threats we have Limited profit levels, Natural disasters, Other


competitors, Inflation rate, Poor ratings on review websites. In the first
one we have Limited profit levels, it means that our business isn't
efficiently converting revenue into profit this scenario could result from,
prices that are too low, or excessively high costs of goods sold or
operating expenses. While in Natural disasters just like Covid-19 is a big
threat to all business, it can dissolve some business because of the virus
spreading this is a big threat since everyone are following the protocol
and some businesses are closed due to pandemic and that's how can
affect our business by the natural disaster. The third one is the other
competitors, in every business this is their main competitors since you
sell same product or service to the customer and it can be every business
threats since you are both completing to each other. The next one is the
inflation rate, It is the rate of increase in prices over a given period of time,
Inflation is typically a broad measure in every business, such as the
overall increase in prices or the increase of the cost of a business, when
the products increase of it's price it also increase the cost of it, rising
supplier costs are a result of increasing raw material and shipping costs.
The last one is the Poor ratings on review websites, bad reviews are a
brilliant way of showing that if something does go wrong you have
credibility in how you deal with the issue. It shows that we care about the
customer. Believe it or not, bad reviews have the power to improve your
conversion rates, too.

1. The total investment required is:

For us, we discussed how much money we will invest for our project. Since our
business is about coffee and books, we want our business to look like aesthetic, fresh
and calming. We estimate that for about 2-3 million pesos.We also discussed that we
will buy a lot for our project, we estimate that it’s about 2-3 million pesos. For the rest of
the money is for the designs, additional expenses like bills, suppliers, etc. The reason
why we have a large amount of investment is that because, we want to have a high
quality materials since we aim to have aesthetic and Instagramable vibes.

If we’re short on money for our project, we can get more for lending companies since
it’s more appropriate way of borrowing money.

4. My bank is, or the banks I would like to work with are:

The bank that we would like to work with is BDO ( Banco De Oro Unibank, Inc ),
because We want to have easier offline access to our bank accounts. BDO’s access to
stock market is made easier and our business don't have to open an account with a
securities brokerage firm like COL Financial and wait days for it to be approved.. The
other reason why we want BDO is because of their full service that can provide for our
business.
